Admin suggested I create a topic posting software that is free to use and can be as good as paid versions , basically I'll stick to windows OS as linux and apple aren't as easily come by !

I use ccleaner which is very good. I just use the standard Microsoft virus killer. I hate the way computers slow down with virus software and the Microsoft software seems to work and is fast.

BonzoBanana I personally never use antivirus , I have but just to test , if you keep an eye on what you download and stay away from ' suspect ' sites it should be ok !

mrgoggll I do get viruses occasionally and have used the free sophos virus killer which is optimised for dealing with rootkit type viruses. In the past I've done free trials of virus software just because my computer had a really tricky virus to remove and then removed the software afterwards. The annoying thing is even if you disable active scanning and automatic updates often virus software seems to be using memory and in the background and I just want software I can use to scan manually without any effect on day to day performance. Android OS is exceptionally bad for that with many programs autostarting and slowing down your devices. Many free programs seem to sell your data as their revenue stream. So they are in the background just building up data on your actions.
