Now This Cornavirus is Effecting My Evenings
In the News
I enjoy relaxing when kids gone sleep to watch the soaps eastenders have just announced they stopping filming and reducing the days a week it's on.
If others follow my evenings are doomed.
I was thinking last night what if there's no staff to work due to isolating and the internet goes down. Now that will be a problem. I'm ok without tv. Used to that. I read books. I'm ok if there's no netflix, etc, but I need the net - to work, etc. We went without water in Gloucestershire for 2 weeks back in 2007, I think, when we flooded really bad and that was awful. I know what its like to have no water. I don't want that again.
I sympathise with anyone who enjoys the soaps and understand it is their escape. (it's going to be really odd when they start up again)
I don't follow the soaps so I had no idea this was happening! I'm not surprised though as everything seems to be slowly shutting down. Sorry it has ruined your evenings I hope they are back up and running for you soon.
I do feel for people who watch their favourite soaps. I don't watch any but caught a bit of coronation street where a man is abusing his wife and I'm sure my bp went up! It is sad for the all the staff and fans
Don't worry about EastEnders episodes being reduced Ann- I've already started writing for a new soap to replace them during the crisis. I'm suggesting it's called Corona-Nation Street.
It's good to see that people are finding the light in a dark situation.
Humour is always a good thing to have. Keeps us going.
I personally don't at all care about soap operas anymore, but I do appreciate that there are many people who still do.
But hey, at least LD is still available 24/7.
Ann1984 I highly doubt I will ever get bored of your topics. So post away.
It's mainly the "cats or dogs" ones and the ones where the OP doesn't ever get back to you which are boring.
Worth remembering that your evenings may be 'ruined' but its for the sake of people's health - others in retail, healthcare etc are working overtime to make sure that others have what's needed. Saw something on Facebook that said "your grandparents were called to war, you're being called to stay inside and watch TV" - it's far from ideal but it is what it is, everyone is making sacrifices
