Lately I started to crochet again... after many years. I made bunny lovey blanket and a dinosaur hat for my baby boy... i would love to crochet him a jumper or a onesie... where do you find your patterns? Do you crochet often? I can knit too but I'm not very good with tension etc. Which is a shame because knitted stuff looks so beautiful...

Imnotcheap well I went on pinterest. Tried to look for "free baby boy crochet patterns" and more often than not its actually a paid one from etsy or ravelry!! But the pricing isn't equal for the patterns you could buy... £5 for a onesie seems reasonable to me but same £5 for little accessories doesnt seem like you get same value...

I have crochets and a tuto book but I find it tricky carrying on past the first couple rows 😏 and I'm so slow to do this 2 rows

G0501 just keep on doing it. I find the more you crochet the quicker you do it😁 also if you get stuck there are a lot of videos on YouTube about it. Some of the trickier parts I just keep pausing it and playing it again until I get it. It does require some patience... have you tried knitting? That might be easier for you. In any case dont give up😉👍 I find it very therapeutic 🙂

I am really struggling to learn to crochet 😞. I have some lovely patterns to follow that are kids craft packs and I can’t seem to learn how to follow the patterns. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can learn to crochet and in particular how to follow patterns 🙂

louisebarton76 you need to learn the basic stitches names and symbols. And to get it visual just go on YouTube you can enter specific stitch pattern name or beginner's crochet lesson etc...

Here you go. But there are more stitches than that🙂 you could print it off and try to memorize it? But the basics start with a chain (ch) or magic ring (sometimes called magic circle). I would suggest for you to learn first to cast on, chain, learn to make magic ring, slip stitch and single crochet. From there you could build up and you will understand it easier😎 good luck.👍
