What's the Deal Limit?
Deals
New members can post up to 10 deals a day.
If you've been a member of the site for a while, you may ask for your deal hunting limit to be increased.
This does not affect the amount of points you can earn.
Points limits will remain the same - and are the same for everyone.

@Tom Having a limit is the worst thing this site could do. It needs deals. Typically a few users will post the majority of deals. What is a deal site without constant deals ?
Hey Dread! Thanks for coming across to LatestDeals! While we're small and just starting out we're testing the waters. Would be great to chat on the phone to learn from you and get more feedback. I will send you an email now. Thanks again, just trying to find a good balance for the site.
I didn't know there would be a limit right off the bat but I'm actually glad it's there. Obviously it's just my opinion but I don't want to see somebody creating post after post after post of "deals" that they've seen on other sites and list here because they having something to gain from it.
People who had something to gain on Kelsey's other site came along and put out 20 or 30 posts sometimes of bad/standard priced items.
Also another thing to add is there's no down voting which I see as being positive. Over on that other popular site, people get annoyed when somebody puts out more than a few consecutive deals and will try to get at them by down voting. Doesn't matter how good the deal is, they will down vote which helps nobody.
A deals a deal no matter where you find it, if you have 30, 40, 50 deals to post why not it's up to the person looking at the deal to decide if it's a good deal or not.
"People who had something to gain on Kelsey's other site came along and put out 20 or 30 posts sometimes of bad/standard priced items."
Downvoting would allow those deals to be correctly marked as bad deals. It would allow you to see they were bad at a glance. It would also allow a filter to be activated so you would not see those deals. What you feel is a bad deal others may not.

Most of the "other" sites posters take there deals from elsewhere on the internet. I showed a few of the very high amount of posters there where to find them. They are also just copying deals. That is what a deal site is. Collecting all the deals going on everywhere. Then those deals being sorted into what is good or not by the community.

No system is perfect. Each one relies on people. With the human factor you are always going to get people who use the system how they want. If you think it is a good deal and it is down voted. The community don't agree with you. That is fine. The deal is still on the site and may help somebody. The deals people want to see more are rightly highlighted. This may not work 100% of the time but no system does. Either way the deal would be on the site.
Dread I agree with what you say but as you know there are a lot of daily deals out there and I am not seeing them on latestdeals so I think the site is losing out, on pedlar I thought 5 deals an hour was a bit tight but I do not think anybody can do 5 deals an hour 24/7 but you do need a constant stream of new deals, if people come to the site
and just see the same stuff they ain't going to come back it's like a shop you get people in and you need to keep them
interested long enough to buy something, it would benefit everybody not just the one who posted the deal, if all the
deals that were out there where posted anybody who visited the site would be more likely to buy something.
I rest my case your honour.
Dread maybe they should only be allowed to post a deal if it's reduced by a certain amount, if not it should be rejected.
I was on That other site for 6 years at certain time of day all my deals got voted down by a few idiots so I pulled the plug and joined here today
Hello, I hope you're well. At the moment the deal limit is 10 per day. This is likely to change with your feedback.
While LatestDeals is small, it's easy for it to look swamped with deals from power users. Ideally, LD would be full of power users! And that's our end goal. Until then, we have to try our best to give balance.
Bash I've noticed you like to post some good competitions. What are your thoughts on us excluding the limit from comps? For example, 10 deals + 10 comps?
Thank you all for your feedback, Kelsey, Deepak and I are working hard to make it a place that is good for everyone!
If you guys want to change the limit for each section, I'm all for it. I have been trying to fill up the competition section and started putting certain words in the description in the hope of trying to attract more people to see the site.
I really reckon you should give more points each day, I find many deals and freebies but only add a few due to the points limit
Also liking other peoples deals if you are a trusted member like give back ect.. you should let us like more too x
Hey LianahKM thanks for the feedback
You can get a fair few points from sharing different types of things - deals, vouchers, freebies and competitions all have their own limits. And then there's always the warm fuzzy feeling of sharing great bargains to help others out that comes after you've hit the limit for the day. Not to mention commenting (the longer and more insightful the comment the more points you get) and reporting deals as expired that'll get you points too
LianahKM Hiya. I actually really like the fact there is a limit on how many posts get you points. It ensures to keep posts sensible and in theme with the whole point of the site. If we got points for every post we share people would abuse the system. I like this site so much as most of the users on here are just here to share good deals and network with other fellow bargain hunters rather than just get vouchers etc. Sorry to jump on a old post. Was just mooching round x
I think I'm experiencing this now. I've posted a couple of times today and haven't received the points for them, or the likes/comments people have left. Not sure if I've hit my limit for the day / week?
Morning There's a daily limit that resets every day - Tom's explained more about it here: https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat/why-arent-points-going-up with what you can and can't get points for e.g. there are different limits for deals, vouchers, competition and freebies. Hope that explains things but any questions just shout!
Thanks for you quick reply I am at home a lot so enjoy posting so does my wife love to up my limit of posts as I do find good ones
