Deliveroo - No Show
Ask a Question
Has anyone else had problems with deliveroo? I ordered few times from uber eats, just eat etc. They knock on the door and then step away from it while you collect it. Never had any problems... today decided to order with deliveroo to try out taco bell... Entered my correct address, phone number etc.. there were 10min left I went back on website to check and it said the driver "notified me of their arrival and waited 6min before leaving"?!!! The funny thing is no one knocked on my door or anything?! So we were left without food. After contacting deliveroo I got told that in 24-48h I'll receive a refund...not impressed...
If the driver showed up or not and you don't have food, but they issued your refund right away then it is not that bad. Many things could have happened, wrong address, driver took it, but that happens with every company selling goods. What matters is after sale and it seems it was well taken care of.
LordUnbox the thing is they have not issued refund straight away. But took the money nevertheless. Also when I logged on the deliveroo account it shows up as delivery has been made?! How can it be made if I haven't received it? Surely they should have an option to put anything else than "delivered"? I had to chase it up myself. And then been told to await that "magical" email. So we will see.
BlueOrchid I see, from my understanding the driver got the wrong address and the other person happily took your meal or the driver stole it. You should quickly see your money. In the meantime, join Foodhub, use NEWAUG300 and get 3 quid off if your meal is worth more than 9 quid. Don't check reviews on Foodhub because if you have issues with food and refund you can't review because they cancel the order, so check on Google first or order from somewhere you know.
I don't work for Foodhub or have any connections with them, just a customer.
LordUnbox I never heard of them before. Thank you I'll check it out next time when I fancy a take away
no, we don't normally have issues with the delivery, only sometimes with the ordered items themselves. Deliveroo, Ubereats, etc., are usually quick to sort it out
I had some missing bits yesterday but that got credited to my account within 10min.had it happen a few times over the many years. Uber on the other hand were awful when there is a problem declined to refund on undercooked chicken and said hopefully it's better next time! Just eat I don't recal problems they did not resolve
I've had quite a few issues with delivery people some seem to lack common sense and are on a rapid schedule to do many deliveries. I've not had issues with takeaway deliveries but I had a supermarket food shop delivered next door and Amazon have been pretty useless at times even putting my parcel in the rubbish bin which got collected before I knew about it so had to be refunded and likely in a landfill somewhere unless the recycling staff spotted it. I saw some forum posting somewhere where a recycling worker actively looks out for Amazon boxes because they have had quite a few come their way left in bins. I think they got a brand new fishing reel for free.
BonzoBanana I heard that maybe over 10 years ago or even more people who used to work at rubbish recycling stations used to find all sorts there... brand new perfumes in packaging, nice clothes etc...and staff were allowed to keep it. But then after some time they clamped down on it. I dont know what they do now if they find something of value...
I've never really had any issues with Deliveroo except missing items which it obviously the fault of the restaurant, not Deliveroo. The only time I've had a big issue was with Uber Eats when I was tracking the guy and he drove right past my house and then it said they couldn't deliver for some reason.
