Do You Have Any DIY Skills ?
Ask a Question
I am just watching Escape to the Chateaux DIY, I love all home improvement programmes but neither my husband or I have any interest in DIY. We can just about decorate and if we need anything more complex, we pay for someone to do it.
On the other hand, my brother in law is constantly doing DIY either in his own home or in his children's, unfortunately he lives about 400 miles away.
How are you DIY skills?
I csn use a screw driver and a drill. Does that count? Lol I'm terrible at anything else lol
Today I redid the sealant between the skirting boards and floors in my hallways and my living room, I recently sanded, primed and painted all the radiators, I regrouted the kitchen and bathroom floor, replaced a broken floor tile, fixed the hole in the grout in the shower, redid the sealant around the bath, fixed the window panel and redid the sealant around the door. I am able to do basic DIY but anything that is more specialist, I will pay someone to do it.
beccatavender so was my husband! He is rubbish at DIY, although he did fix the broken cupboard door a few months back!
I just took my time and read up before I did each job. It was time consuming, especially the radiators!
Aww they programs are amazing and inspiring. I Always give anything a go. But gas involved no! The rest is fine. Nice Character if it goes wrong. 🥸🥸ha.
I don’t need any DIY skills I just ask my husband for a drill or hammer. The fear of letting me loose with any tools gets all my little jobs done.
They’re ok. I’m more than happy to give anything a go, even if all the training I get is from watching YouTube videos lol
Sorry to hear that, but least you have the knowledge to know if someone you get in is doing it correctly
Honestly I have neither the time or inclination to do DIY my limit is changing a light bulb
I painted a door once ( internal panel door ) it took me 4 hours , the family thought it was very funny ?? How long should it take to paint one side of a door ?
I get told off for doing diy..i usually wait until other half goes out then i get the no nails or tacks out
I love doing DIY jobs at home with my hubby. We've been doing DIY jobs for many years and too many to list.
