Does Anyone Follow Mrs Hinch?
Ask a Question
Mrs Hinch is all over the news/media with her cleaning and organizing tips.. also there's Stacey Solomon etc... I do look at their tips sometimes and its same things you can find on pinterest or something I already do myself... But i do enjoy the look of organised cupboards Do you look at it too?
I did at first to help with cleaning tricks and tips but personally think the hype for her as worn down
chelseaturpin I think now her cleaning craze turned into lifestyle thing really... how many times you can repeat the same thing how you clean your oven/carpet etc...so now it turned more into a blog- what she did with the baby...what organising labels/baskets she bought but I think her book and the cleaning supplies she promotes are still very popular
When have I got time to follow Mrs Hinch when I am always cleaning? On a serious note if I donโt know how to clean by now itโs pretty worrying.
eyeballkerry on a rare occasion she has a good tip... for example to use window scraper on a carpets especially if you have pets... I don't follow all her stories just occasionally articles about her pops on my news feed "mrs Hinch did this or that"...and then she's hailed like a hero
She's a lovely woman but zorfloura been out for donkey years everyone swears she invented it. But if you notice since she become so popular that she don't spray it all over the house no more. Because it's a fire hazard
Ann1984 to be fair she uses quite a few very harsh cleaning chemicals round the house... such as flash and cif. It gives me headaches. I think it happens with any product she buys really - without her people wouldn't be able to buy the pink paste which is pretty much in every shop anywaybut really out of "cleaning sensation" she's becoming big brother now...oh her hubby left socks near laundry basket instead of in it...so she was leaving mess around the house all day...oh boohoo... occasionally I have to pick up after my hubby and my son too but I dont plaster it all over internet
..
I haven't seen or read much about her but surprised she is not into more natural cleansers, white vinegar, lemon, bicarb, citric acid etc. Not sure she deserves the accolades if she is using lots of chemical cleaners.
I did all my taps and shower screen edges with bicarb yesterday and all sparkling now.....can I be famous please
Lynibis yes sure just get full face of make up and hair done before you do that also dont forget to put the photos of your work and your spice cabinet etc...but I agree.. before I had my son I cleaned the whole house with vinegar, bicarb etc... and all them harsh chemical cleaners gives me headache anyway. But I do have a bottle of bleach for the toilet
Ann1984 there's new "cleaning sensation" being presented daily and because people are hoarding it... but really I got similar thing to pink stuff from astonish it's a tub and it comes with sponge... I got one for dishes and one for the oven. But yes anything she uses you would think it did not existed before...
jurgita0712 ha ha, yes I must admit I can't do without bleach and have just bought some Jeyes fluid to do the drains outside.
Lynibis what does it do?... there you go. Start your own blog/vlog/Instagram and everything else and you'll be cleaning guru now...you can even make short video of how you use it
jurgita0712 ha ha, the trouble with that is I would have to learn how to blog/vlog/instagram first, I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to social media lol.
I do follow her on fb,some great tips to stay on top of your housework obsessed with the pink stuff now thanks to Mrs Hinch x
nina090976 do you follow her fan page? I find that it has way more tips than Mrs Hinch herself and quite often than not its actually her fans who comes up with ingenious ideas... for example to wash make up sponges in a sock
jurgita0712 very true,I love reading all the hints&tips of her fans, the interaction on there is brilliant x
nina090976 I was tempted to try and dye my stairs carpet...but then I saw some terrible results...so I got second hand washer and used that instead
jurgita0712 omg I did see that posti was tempted too,the Lady had some awesome results,....got kids and pets, there's no way it would end well in my house, saving up for new carpet x
nina090976 then you should definitely try carpet washer.. I also bought rug doctor carpet shampoo and some normal carpet treatments for dirtier areas.. it worked a treat! And I even managed to get few years old nail varnish stain with YouTube's helpin the end it cost way cheaper.
jurgita0712 thank you so much, will definitely try it,will look for the carpet doctor,it definitely needs it x
I reckon if I haven't learned these things since first marrying in 1971 then it's probably too late now lol. But a lot of young people are not being taught the basics of cleaning (and cooking, manners etc) since the advent of busy mum's who work and run a home, so I guess Mrs Hinch and her peers have a place in today's society.
Lynibis or mums who dont wash their laundry for 2 months in lockdown lol I did have few books about household tips, tricks etc. But it's much easier to Google or look it up on YouTube these daysfor example how to remove nail polish out of the carpet or permanent marker from the fridge Sometimes she does share useful tips
Pjran because she documents it on the internet for everyone to see... and having so many followers she gets paid to promote stuff...
