I fancy a change from tesco I find there quite expensive for some things
Last year Aldi was the cheapest, more than 20 percent cheaper than any of the big four chains.

They don't have such a big range, though. That's the downside.
I alternate between Aldi and Lidl, Tesco are a good bit more expensive but bigger range so go there once a month for hard to find bits
Aldi with a couple of extras from Homebargains and Iceland. There are all next door to each other for me which is lucky.
Aldi, iceland, asda and lidl. I like to shop around and prefer different things from different stores.
I have a shop near me called food warehouse that sells a lot of iceland products... everything is cheap there
Oh I've seen this shop but it's about 40mins away from me I've heard good things away bout it!
I like Waitrose but not loyal to any supermarket. In fact this week I’ve placed an online order with Ocado because they sent me a £15 off voucher code. I often get vouchers from Waitrose, currently for this month it’s £8 off a £40 spend.
I shop at Ocado for convenience. Not the cheapest, but I have been impressed with their website, products and service deliveries.
The best to shop around.... I use the local Coop and Tesco Express...sometimes do bigger shopping in Waitrose or Sainsburys....I think it is better to shop alone because when I go with husband and daughter things landing in the trolley what we do not need
Aldi i do most of my shopping but we have a lidl a few hundred yards away so will pop in there during the week inbetween food shops.
I go for Lidl as its cheap and good. Aldi is great too but far from what I live so I don't go often. I like Tesco extra as they have everything and new things every now and then. Not cheap though.
I'm not very loyal tending to shop where I have a voucher to use. I prefer the Tesco Extra store locally as it is a very large store with a huge range and they have a lot of half price offers and do various discount brands that have replaced their 'everyday value' range. It seems cheapest to me if you can resist the high price stuff not on offer and don't mind trying out the stuff that is currently half price especially if you have a voucher to use.
We don't currently have a Aldi but probably by the end of the year there will be one within walking distance from my house so expect to make good use of it. I'm not super keen on the processed food from Lidl and Aldi though and don't like parbaked bread. Closest food shop to me is a Coop and if you time it right you can get some very good deductions I also like to support the store for ethical reasons. I also make use of Waitrose often only buying a couple of items just to get the free coffee which is my favourite coffee of any shop. Don't wind waitrose competitive at all but there are one or two items that are good value.
I like to mix things up. I alternate between Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and M&S. Plus I'll get some other items from other local shops.
At the minute I shop in waitrose and tesco metro as that's all that local to me, I think asda deliver to my area would you recommend shopping there? I'm clueless on these things
Is there an app I can compare prices?
Thanks for all your comments much help reading all of these it looks like tesco/aldi is very popular
AliceBaker I shop in all of them, as all in commutable distance. Whichever one has best price I will visit. Try using mysupermarket.co.uk app to compare prices
For meat I usually go the local butchers and the rest of the shopping is usually done in m&s or the local Tesco for bits and Bob's
I have a mixture but mainly Tesco as I get better points there, then sometimes Morrison's.
Wilkos for decorating stuff and wish. Iceland, herands, asda, b&m for food shop, pound land, poundstores for cleaning stuff and bits and bobs. Charity shops and wish for clothes, curtains, cushions. Amazon if any good deals for me
Aldi and Iceland for me and my little one , Iceland for my freezer and Aldi for everything else
Aldi, if ive earned vouchers through survey sites i use tesco and there are some things i get from home bargains
I normaly use iceland spend 35 for free next day dilivery, or spend 40 and get 5 off lol same thing. Asda its spend 40 and get delivery slot which u pay for still.
I think Lidl is the best value without a doubt even on the big brand names, apart from Pepsi which I alternate between shops for whoever has it on promotion.
Tesco delivery nearly every week , lidl and Morrison’s for certain things and coop as nearest for run out of things
Aldi my shopping costs £60 and in asda , tesco or big shops i spent nearly £500 which was a joke but it comes less so much better
