Our Dog Died or Someone Poisoned Him.

Other

Yesterday he was fine and today he was deceased with foam in his mouth. He was a good pup, he never harmed anyone and always wanted to play with people.

I'm led to believe someone took his life because my dad's side has brothers and sisters who don't get along with him (due to inheritances disagreement – it's a mess where he tried to make everyone be happy but the solicitor screwed up and they decided to keep it as is than fix it), but... To actually take a life, that's going too far.

I'll be checking CCTV and probably pay for an autopsy.

Sigh. The previous day I watched "John Wick" and this happened, unbelievable. He didn't deserve this.

I am so sorry to hear this as I know how devastating it is to lose a pet. There is no excuse at all for poisoning an innocent animal.

That's terrible news, I'm so sorry for you.

Although it sounds like poisoning, foaming at the mouth could also signify fits.

best to try and get that autopsy if possible, then you'll be sure.

I had a cat poisoned with anti-freeze, an adorable cat and great character. It was a time when lots of weird stuff was going on but it could have been an accident. I had someone mess with the tyre pressures of my bicycle and almost went under an HGV but luckily the road went to the right rather than left so I slid off the road rather into the middle of the road, their intention may have been minor annoyance but of course with any vehicle it could end up being life threatening. I wasn't sure if it was a slow puncture at the time but basically decided to leave my car at work and commute by bike and store the bike inside the car until on the last day of the week I would drive the car home with the bike inside. As soon as I did that the same inner tubes miraculously stopped going half-inflated randomly and my cycling was much safer.

I'm a total softie when it comes to cats, had them as a kid and always like them to be around. Can't imagine a situation where I don't have cats and get really attached to them. So I was devastated at the time, you put a brave face on it but I was in a rubbish place mentally for at least a month. He was a cat that really enjoyed life too and very friendly perhaps too friendly.

Some people are just scum, they have no morality and often little intelligence to form any sort of morality. They write their own rule book in their head and have little regard for real laws and justice. Even if I detested someone with good reason there is absolutely no way I would hurt an innocent animal they owned. There may be other members of the family who would be devastated who I had no beef with and of course couldn't hurt the animal anyway.

RichardDoolin Without going into all the details there were minor incidents for example I was walking along and get hit with a small lump of tarmac thrown from a moving van around about the same time. Minor incidents which were meant to annoy or upset but none of the other incidents were ever as dangerous as deflating my cycle tyres.

BonzoBanana Have you crossed paths with any drug addicts or alcoholics in the past few years? Sometimes people don't like it when you refuse to be friends with them and give them money and other things... How are things with your family? Are you on good terms with everyone? Sorry about your pet, if it was a deliberate poisoning than that was quite mean. 😞

RichardDoolin I've not mixed with drug addicts or alcoholics but lots of possible reasons like malicious gossip and other possibilities. I've seen so many people who make up crap in their own mind and then get angry about it, they never reason that they could be wrong and got the wrong end of the stick. I've worked in retail previously and seen so many people who convince themselves they are right in what they do even if its theft. I have a pretty low opinion of many people I must admit.

I'm struggling to understand this PhilipMarc , you're calling him a pup and saying he was yours so surely he was with you wasn't he, I have a pup along with my 2 older dogs and I know where they are and what they get up to every minute of the day so surely you were the same with your pup weren't you, I mean with all the animals being taken from gardens nowadays you don't leave them on their own out there for a start!? x
