Dressing up for Christmas Day?
Ask a Question
Do you dress up for Christmas Day?
I prefer to stay in my pyjamas all day lol
I put on jeans and a jumper for my parents coming over but I don't go overboard. I want to be comfy
We always go to our mother in law's for Christmas dinner and I just wear what I'd normally wear, jeans and a hoodie
I do everything in my pj's then take a shower & put a Christmas Jumper or T Shirt on with Jeans/ Jeggings. We always have my partner's brother over so I get ready then sit eating my Christmas meal with family, pulling Crackers, telling each other jokes. Just like Mrs Craig I want to be comfy too! X
I do for Christmas Eve. We go visiting various relatives & then I go see friends for a few drinks. Christmas day I have a Christmas T shirt & jeggings as we'll have visitors in the afternoon/evening otherwise id just be in my Christmas pjs all day.
MelissaLee1 ,Yes we need to be wearing our comfy clothes & to be able to relax in our own homes, especially after all the hard work & effort we have put in to our Christmas celebrations..
JLouM Do you dress up if you are staying at home and having no one visiting?
SamGoodship I wouldn’t bother if no visitors and at home, just please yourself, but I usually go somewhere still at the moment.
Oh to be able to stay in my pj's allday, I'm a carer so will be working and l have a dog so a long walk will be needed too. Enjoy your pj's all and think about me as l will be wrapped up in scarf, beanie and gloves on my walk with my four paws
Pinkspirit But you will be healthier than the rest of us over indulging with indigestion!
Pinkspirit ,Similar to you, both my partner & I are Support Workers for same company, under different management at opposite ends of Sheffield, him 30 years, me almost 5.My partner is on shift 4 of the Festive Days as one of his colleagues decided to book events on all those days so hardly working all Christmas when rest of team are doing their share. I'm working a few long shifts over Christmas & New Year too.
I will be thinking of the people working over the Christmas period & hoping they get to spend time with their loved ones.
janphoenix51 hope you enjoy all the special moments you can get with your partner over the festive season and like myself feel very rewarded to be caring/looking after people who appreciate our kindness.
Pinkspirit Bless you and I would like to thank you for doing a job that has lots of vacancies and a certain type of people who won't be seen dead doing it. (some of them have said this to me)
Works both ways,I wouldn't want to work in a factory, office. We have some lovely people that work in Care,I see some really dedicated people,no two days are the same...
Pinkspirit, thank you, hope your Christmas is everything you want it to be & more..x
janphoenix51 oh l totally agree a desk job / looking at a screen allday would bore me, seeing different faces on a daily basis and my regulars brighten theirs and my day
Pinkspirit ..I couldn't do a desk job but we have to type everything onto a Laptop rather than write our notes,it's called PROGRESS but what happens when the computer doesn’t work...Then it's back to paper!!
Just houseware really. I think Christmas day is about being comfortable and relaxing with the family so anything anyone wants to wear is fine.
I’ll get dressed Christmas morning to go see my grandkids then home and straight change into comfy clothes or pyjamas, depending on what mood I’m in
I work Christmas day one year then boxing day the next, so always wear Christmas jumpers and a bit of tinsel in hair for work, if I'm off then its just jeans and a nice top
As I'm the one doing the cooking I tend to dress comfy. Usually jog bottoms and xmas tshirt
I like the idea of dressing for th e day but when your cooking it's not feasible so I just dress comfy and get into my pj's as soon as I can.
If I'm at someone else I'll have maje an effort. Otherwise nah. Why would I want to. Kids don't either. It's our day to chill.
