Drinking from the Correct Glass
Ask a Question
When you have a certain alcoholic drink do you drink with the ’correct’ glass. For example, whiskey from a whiskey glass, wine from a wine glass or do you have one glass does it all!
I don't drink at all but when I did no i didn't as long as I can drink it didn't bother me what I used lol
It's become quite a 'thing' (or at least it was before all the pubs got closed down) to have a certain type of ale (or beer) out of a glass showing the correct brewery's name on it.
I'm not fussed about things like this, it doesn't really matter what type of glass I drink out of.
I cant drink alcohol so doesn't really matter but i do have a favourite Tea Mug if that counts
I use any old mug for any old tea or coffee but have a special (Xmas gift) mug for the fruity or herbal teas I occasionally enjoy.
At home it would not bother me what glass if I didn't have the correct one. Choice is limited to wine glass or long or short tumbler. But if I was out drinking or in an expensive restaurant I would expect to be served in the correct glass.
As I never know what to get my husband for gifts, I inevitably do something alcohol related. So we have lots of glasses, which comes with the gifts - whisky tumblers, shot glasses etc. So we do use the correct glasses.
This year for Christmas I got him
With Game of Thrones whiskey
No. I can’t be bothered. I just want to drink opposed your having the optimum drinking experience
A few years ago we went to a wine tasting and they served the same wine in a couple of different glasses. The tasting proved to us that the glass does matter. Eventually bought some Riedel glasses.
