What benifit do you get from your employer? Would the benefits keep you at your place compared to somewhere else paying the same?
I get paid time off for doctors appointments as long as I can prove it, subsidised fitbit and gym membership amongst others - this is a deal breaker for me and keeps me loyal. Also get a day off on my birthday!! These little extras make a big difference.
Don't get any perks whatsoever. Most of my jobs are less than minimum wage and don't know what work i have for the week until the preceding friday. Time off? No pay. Available between 7 and 7 six days a week. Hard to believe in this day and age but work for a contractor so classed self employed. No one else wants someone of my age despite military history and 26 years working in high position in the council.
That's a real shame it sounds like you have a wealth of expertise and experience. Luckily my company would prefer to take someone with the relevant experience over a qualification, think more companies should.
Current year i will benefit from 9 weeks paid holiday, bonus and extra bank hol payments. Emergency leave paid, some sickness paid. Job security and sometimes a decent work life balance. Had to earn it over a 14 year time span but good recognition for the effort ive given
always get all of Christmas off and not much problem booking the holiday I want. also have a money off deals site to save on holidays etc. and no overtime which is a deal breaker
