Entering Competitions on Here.
Ask a Question
Can I ask the forum a simple question as I have contacted the page and dont seem to get an answer. I love entering my competitions and occasionly I find competitions elsewhere and post it on here . Problem is the majority of the competitions are taken off as I get the same message . We're afraid your recent post (Win a £50 Online Shopping Voucher of YOUR Choice) didn’t meet our quality guidelines (https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/guidelines). We ask that everything featured on Latest Deals is genuinely good value and with a good title, clear image and description. If you have any questions please contact us.
I contact them but as said I don't get an answer and it feels like I am going round in circles and want to share the competitions with other people .
Hi stuartsmith544 Sorry I don't have a real answer, I had the same problem with a freebie, when I queried it was told it got taken down as per guidelines. I asked for clarification as to what exactly was wrong, (there were others of a similar nature already posted) so I would know for another time, and have had no reply.
Thanks lilyflower , its perplexing and I thought if I can't get an answer maybe someone in the universe knew the answer . Thanks for replying though .
I am assuming that initially you have all the relevant information and images/links to support the comp?
The main problem I find is that the guidelines are extensive and it can be difficult to find which section relates to your original post being removed. lilyflower is also correct in that it is easy to see other posts that seem very similar to the original removed post. I find it best to just put it behind you and move on otherwise it can drive you mad wondering why the post was picked out for removal.
Thanks for your message.
From what I could see in your account, the last two competitions have been removed for 2 reasons.
The first one: The link of the post must be directly that of the competition, and not the general link of the website, or the competitions page of the website.
Example: Win an iPhone (www.currys.co.uk/win-an-iPhone) and not (www.currys.co.uk)
The second one: The post must include an image, whenever possible from the prize, or whoever is promoting it.
You can find more information here: https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/guidelines
I hope it makes sense.
If you have any questions, you can tag one of the mentors.
Cheers
I must admit I have had comps taken down for no other reason than no suitable image. Of all the reasons this one seems to be the silliest as not all comps have an accompanying pic of the prize and it took me forever to learn how to do it, when it didn't automatically come up.
It seems a bit draconian as it is stopping folk from entering an otherwise perfectly acceptable comp just because there is no picture.
Lynibis I have had this numerous times L, so what i do is search google for an appropriate image, for example some facebook competitions have videos and not images , so if the prize is a tent, for example, i copy and paste the make or even just put in tent, and copy this image to use for the appropriate competition
Sometimes there is no image at all , so i do the same
The £50 pound on line shopping voucher tell me what I missed out on the comp sandy Mackenzie
ive given up posting competitions - just not worth it as they get taken down. sorry for the rant!
I haven't posted competitions in a while. I sometimes got that message but just added the photo or more info and it was normally accepted.
I used to enter and win load of prizes through my local newspaper at least once a month. You could either sent the answer(s) by post or go down to their head office and post it in person in their competition box. Now you can only enter the competitions via a mobile phone.
