I've never used that site but I've seen people here talking about it negatively. I came across this site last year while I was looking for competitions to enter. I was only planning on checking out the comps quickly and then going on my way, but now I'm on here every day, it's a fun site.

I stopped using that website a few years ago when they changed how you post competitions. Within the space of a few days hardly any comps were being posted.

You are either a LD person or a HUKD person, just like with Pepsi and CocaCola.

Yes I love the fact that we get rewarded, albeit after many many posts here.

To be honest, I visit that website daily to see what deals they have going on there, but never really buy anything (I used to, though I don't like using fiat money that much these days unless I have to).

Now, they're going to allow retailers to post deals. Haha. HUKD main posters will become the Expert members and Retailers.

I find LD so much better than 'the other site'. I used to use 'the other site' daily but have not been on there since the day i joined LD and i wouldnt go back either. The LD community is friendly and admin are fab!

To be fair there are many good deals on there , posted for kudos as opposed to points . Just that the obsession with computer games and vinyl records turns me right off . I left a couple of years back after a brief flirtation .

If there is one thing that Latest Deals members could learn from that site it would be to comment on deals posted in a constructive way and offer advice to fellow members ?

I post deals on here that I "think " are great deals , initially virtually begged for comments ! Is it good value , can I get it at a better price , is that a good processor , should I go for the next size up etc etc .

How much advice / comments did I get ? Zero , Zilch , None ! We have to help each other surely ? Can we not at least try ?

I use the site daily just like many other deal sites if it helps me save all the better I do enjoy reading their chat section more. I not signed upto site they do like a bit of banter on their mind

Actually never heard of this place,as I spend about an hour a day on here could not afford the time to look at another anyway!

I have my toe dipped in both sites, but I find that Latest Deals is a much better site to use. It's too heavy-handed on HUKD and more or less the same deals being posted most days by the same people. This site is more up to date and I love using the supermarket comparison site. I've got quite a few good bargains from this site too, so keep up the good work Deepak Tailor, Tom Church and Tom Kelsey.

Just joined. I was a member for 11 years but found it turned to poop the last 2 years. I had to find a better site and this one looks better already!
