Are You Excited for Matrix 4?
Ask a Question
The first Matrix film was amazing, but then the two other ones were so painful to watch that I just gave up (fun-fact: They were meant to be one movie than two). That said, I'll probably give Matrix 4 a go while keeping my expectations extremely low.
Plus, one of the director who went from being a he to a she now says Matrix was a trans story, but Keanu Reeves never knew about it.
Matrix is a stunning movie regardless of this confusion.
Anyhow, Keanu Reeves' Bill and Ted: Face the Music was awesome. I definitely recommend y'all to watch it as it's a fun movie although it'll help if you watch the first two before.
I'll certainly watch it, but don't have high expectations. Like you, I thought the first film was much better than the sequels. Although, there were a lot of elements in parts 2 & 3 that I still enjoyed.
Wow, I thought it was about transhumanism when society and people evolve to the point where shifting your identity and physical presentation to the world was easier and free from stigma of race or assigned gender at birth or disability. To move about from the carbon-based existence of fragility to evolve into something more long-lasting and able to deal with new environments away from this planet. Transhumanism and the idea that what you believe the world around to be might not be what you think it is.
The films were quite enjoyable with changes from the fake reality to the edgy dystopian reality. It seems like a clever move to use a broader transhumanism to put in transgender themes in a way that isn't obvious.
I agree that it was about transhumanism, but not a trans story. It seems the broth... Sisters decided to change the film's idea somewhat recently.
I’ve never liked any of it. I’m a fan of Keanu, and I do believe this franchise made his career, but i just never got into it
My OH loves The Matrix. I enjoyed the first film but wasnt fussed on the second & never bothered with the third.
Loved the first one, 2nd and 3rd were just holloywood spins off, but really am hoping the next one can do it justice. For any fans of the the first Film try and find a copy of Horzion from about 10 years ago, about time travel, the last 10 minutes will really 'cook your noodle'
Are you talking about Event Horizon the 1997 movie starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill?
RichardDoolin No it was a BBC Documentary 'Horzion' normally on BBC2, found it here https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2264o8 originally shown in 2003
