chelseaturpin I agree with a lot they say but the approaches they have used have not been good affecting innocent people. Though they should keep dumping ***** at the Daily Mail.

Seen some videos of this group stoping trains and causing a nuisance to normal people trying to get to work they seem to alienate a lot of people who would actually support their cause if they went the right way about it

I agree they shouldn't be stopping trains, they should be encouraging those who can to car share or maybe cycle to walk if they can instead. Maybe putting facts up on social media instead of blocking roads might be a better way to get people involved.

I don't agree with protests like this. When people behave like this, they make it all about them, not the cause. People are talking about their behaviour, the manure, the fact that people were arrested, etc, but not the cause, so what have they achieved? In my opinion, if you genuinely care about a cause and want to raise awareness, educate and inform people and bring about change, then you don't behave badly, break the law, etc and make it all about you.

angelik I agree. Extreme protesters do a lot of harm to the cause. It’s no good ramming your ideas down people’s throats. It just alienates them.

There is no such a power as media.

I understand your point of view, but it's very easy to say "You can't create any disruption, you just have to educate people."

Scientists have been talking about it since the 1950s, and it's gotten worse year after year, companies and people still don't care (at least the vast majority of them). You don't create any change just by throwing flowers, history proves that to us. The media has all the power in the world to manipulate people, just open the Daily Mail to see how they are every day trying to destroy someone.
