The Extra £20 Benefit Introduced in Lockdown
In the News
Well what’s you thoughts, should this be a permanent thing apparently today govermeant are are discussing it.
personnally it shouldn’t have been given in first place they get more then enough. Working families yes and disabled.
alot of working people took a 20 percent cut of wages and had no help lost homes jobs.
@tunisianangle only working people claiming working tax credits or universal credit whice I think unfair
How does helping people on benefits harm woring family's I only hope your never in a position were you have to ask for help in the former of benefits nobody wants to be .
Mick82 when they have 6+kids living separate on paper claiming separate they abuse system I did state not all. But if didn’t have before lockdown they didn’t need before. Some were given 19.50 per child supermarket vouchers for food some were given cash. Working are never better off always living pay packet to pay packet
What about people with less or no kids who would love to work but can't for health reasons@Ann1984
Imnotcheap I did state not all I understand people can't for health reasons. But millions abuse it
Ann1984 yeah a lot of people do abuse the system and that makes people think we are all the same I work and on Uc and if it wasn't for the help of Uc I wouldn't be able to keep my child warm and feed and b4 people say well I should have thought about that b4 I had her I was working full time as a career and I loved it my company closed so we all out of work there was nothing I could do but sign on
Only £20? In U.S. they'll probably try to charge five or ten times that.
Plus, breaking the law? The ridiculous COVID laws that Boris has confused himself with? That's great. TheChimp
Dont bother we have wasted enough money recently giving them an extra 20 quid just seems pointless
£20 could be the difference in a child being well fed or hungry might not sound much butility it can mean a alot
