Fender Guitar sales increase to church musicians. Worship preference?
In the News
I love that sales have increased but more that worship bands are buying most of em. Eclectic as my musical tastes are I love that it's not all death metal and rock and roll lol. I play guitar in church. Some with very catholic tastes are heavily bent on tradition and old organs but I have even heard harmonicas which were very nice and nothing beats a good gospel choir. Where do we all stand on this one?
In adult life I have only ever attended churches where there are resident musicians who play uplifting modern hymns. I find traditional to be a bit boring and not conducive to enjoyment of the experience.
I often listen to the music of Keith Green (long deceased) as in my opinion he was one of the best composers of gospel music ever. His version of psalm 23 would soften the hardest heart.
I like both the sombre and the lively L but I understand why many crave the uplifting stuff. World of difference between Catholic/Anglican High Church and Pentecostal Sundays and Baptist choirs lol. I am off to google Keith Green. Thanks for that.
If you have Alexa with amazon music, or Spotify or any music apps just ask it to play Keith Green, The Lord is My Shepherd, I am sure most people would appreciate the music if not the lyrics. Of course he didn't write the words but he has written lots of good music, so many I can't choose a favourite.
Lynibis And so I shall .thx /may stumble on some others I like as well. I invariably do when I press play. Not Alexa but prime music and hand select old style. Thanks again Lyninbis.
