Should Fireworks Be Banned outside of Professional Displays?
Ask a Question
Should fireworks be banned outside of professional displays?
I think yes for safety reasons but also Garden ones are rubbish anyway. At least with proper displays we know when they are going to happen !! Home garden ones just go off at Random times !!
Definitely they upset babies and animals. They are supposed to be not after 11 but too many don't do that
No one should be allowed them outside of a professional display they are so dangerous and cause misery for a lot of people
Yes.
1) At a professional display it's on one night not every night for weeks.
2) People can prepare animals/elderly/people with PTSD etc for the specific date
3) It removes the burden on the NHS of having to deal with members of the public who have hurt themselves by not following instructions on how to use them.
I do also think though that by now they should only be selling the silent fireworks or none at all as they can't possibly be good for the environment
If people can’t be trusted with them, then it’s perhaps safer to ban them all. It’s just like setting fire to money anyway
Starting to think this way increasingly more but also need to make the outdoor displays more affordable at times as well.
If anyone had the mugs like we have up here, they'd say YES.
The fools will start leaving them off for about a week before Nov 5th and for days after.
It's not as if we're in a town or anything, but there's a lot of undesirables in the area.
Just a yes
Because they not nice anymore
People only buy the bangers near me
What a waste I say
Definitely as if they were only used by professional displays people would be able to minimise the distress it causes the animals and people, as they would know what nights they were going to go off
Definitely I hate them the noise scare me hate leaving the house from September to end November too many idiots think its OK to throw them at passers by from cars
I think yes to banning them and keep them for professional displays only . I live by the beach and was going for a walk on bonfire night, and it was so dangerous , because people were putting them in the sand they were going off at a slight angle . I wouldnt be surprised if someone was hurt that night. They then leave them on the beach, and then they go out to sea. What then looks pretty for a couple of minutes affects the wildlife by the noise and the remains of them and pollutes our oceans.
Ban them all, waste of money, bad for pets and the environment. Once you have seen one you have seen them all.
I think yes, they are dangerous and at least at professional displays they have safety measures in place to ensure they are handled correctly and people are far away
I think they should be band , but unfortunately I don't think it will happen, if anything I think the age you can buy them should be increased, and maybe a safety video to be watched as condition to the sale.
yes, I do
they are so dangerous and people use the so stupidly,
people still set them off weeks after bonfire night which I find ridiculous
I do like to see them and their colors though (if only they could make them silent too)
Yes. They can be very dangerous when used incorrectly and people don't always consider neighbours or animals. I think it's better left to professional displays at set times.
