Five-Day-Old Scrambled Egg
Ask a Question
Just read an article where a woman batch cooks meals for the rest of the week. Depending on when she eats some of her meals, her scrambled eggs can be, on average, approx five days old.
What would be the max amount of days you would keep scrambled eggs in the fridge and still consider eating it?
I don’t think I could eat cold scrambled eggs. It’s very quick to make, so I would cook it fresh every time.
I would say 3days is the usual time to keep Something to be safe. Scrambled Eggs couldn’t be much quicker to cook. So I don’t see why you would batch cook that
I don't eat scrambled egg very often, but I would only eat it fresh. I think it's easy to cook as and when you want it, so no need to make it in advance.
This is my problem with prepping food for the week. At the end of the week id be eating old food and it just doesnt feel right to me
ladybugncatnoir so id say probably no. But how long is egg fresh for?? Surely no more than 2-3
I just don't know why anyone wouldn't cook it fresh? Yuck. Clearly some people will go to great lengths to save 2 minutes of cooking time.
I don’t like the idea of storing cooked food for a week. I certainly wouldn’t eat three day old eggs. I don’t understand why this person cooks so far in advance.
I have not had the need to put scrambled eggs in the fridge and I don’t think I ever will. It’s ok to batch cook to save time, but worrying if you have no time in your life to eat freshly cooked scrambled eggs.
I never heard someone will keep cooked eggs for week mostly when we in hurry eggs are simple dish we can make within minutes
I have a 3 day rule if I don't know how long something is still fresh for I only keep in fridge for 3 days. I can't remember the logic behind that number
Oh Lordy I gave myself salmonella at the weekend From eggs. My own fault. But no. Scrambled eggs fresh and in date no need to batch cook like many here have said.
Yuck definitely would not keep scrambled eggs in the fridge for a day never mind 5days I would just make fresh every time
I’ve never considered batch cooking eggs, as they quick and easy to eat as and when I need. Either way, I think 5 days is fine, but I’d zap it first
