Aveeno cream is really good to stop itching, do you have animals? Use flea and worming treatment as it stops the cycle, you could also try an oat bath, really easy to make and soothing on the skin, hope you feel better soon x

Calamine lotion and Anthisan are the best soothers for bites. If you can tolerate it, put some ice cubes in a bag and press against the worst itchy bites. You'd have to be careful, as you're pregnant, but there's nothing more effective to get rid of the fleas is Staykill. (not cheap) It continues to wipe them out for weeks with one spray treatment.

This one is reduced atm. www.direct4pet.co.uk/products/staykill-household-flea-spray-500ml?currency=GBP&variant=40234505535661

smedleys97 Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream should not be used during pregnancy or lactation, unless considered essential.

davidstockport Thanks for adding this - I did acknowledge that smedleys97 was pregnant and therefore had to be careful but did not investigate the pros and cons of the products. The same with the spray - I used it a few years ago when I was kindly/stupidly minding a kitten for a friend before she could house it.......fleas for weeks before I bought the spray. I'm not even a cat owner! What a punishment for a good deed. 😂

Indorex was absolutely amazing for our house when our neighbours cat decided to being his little friends in and I was bitten to pieces, whereas my partner had no bites or visible reaction to the bites.

I sprayed the rooms, shut the windows and doors, left it for awhile, came back, aired it out, vacuumed.

Regular vacuuming and never saw a flea again.

You'll want to be washing the fabric at 60c to help kill any eggs, or there are some products that say they are just as effective as washing at 60c.

Steaming should be good too, don't forget the curtains.

Sadly I didn't find much to reduce the itching. Other than a cool compress and cool bedding at night.

Congratulations on the little one, sorry you are going through this.

You might be getting bitten more, as they may have been more interested in the cats before but they aren't there, so you are the most appropriate warm body for them sadly. I hope they clear up soon.

A lot of fleas are now resistant to flea treatment/preventions. I've heard Cat/Kitten Advantage 2 is one of the most effective flea treatments for cats if anyone is reading this and one of the only safe ones for rabbits too.

Please avoid Bob Martin products, they have been known to cause illnesses and even death.

DeBunny ye my partner is not bitten but me and the kids are full of them, the vets did say they were struggling to get rid of them on the cats as due to humidity or something that its like they become immune to treatment.

my washer is a cold wash only so have been filling the bath and washing in there and then transferring to the washing machine then dryer, will be doing this all again tomorrow before i use the flea bombs hoping it works and had enough now.

thank you everyone for your advice .

I just remembered the Bite Away pen, it is pricey £10-£30 but it is suppose to help reduce the itching of bites, it is free from chemicals and is suppose to be safe for pregnant people.

I've used it once for a random bite and it worked wonders, might be worth a try if it is going to help you sleep and stop the insane itching.

One of the best things to relieve the itching is vinegar, which I've personally tried out and can recommend, I discovered when checking out if vinegar was safe that a used tea bag can also help. I have used tea bags for stopping bleeding but not for flea bites.
