Flouting the New Lockdown in Certain Areas

In the News

Is it me but what's going on, my hubby went to our local small shop with mask on and hand sanitiser in the car only to find 6 people of all ages with no masks + 2 staff no masks, there was no system for in and out and as the shop feels tight with 2 staff in and three customers you will see were I am coming from, he was fuming as the said shop also has a sandwich bar with 2 people frying up takeways Image Image Image Image.

Social distancing is out the window

It is total madness out there, but if I was in the same situation I would not have entered shop. As for masks, people take off disposable ones with one hand on the front of masks and put them in their pockets and handbags and use them again, now that is also madness. What’s the point!

I have seen ONE person with a mask on since lockdown. No-one is bothered here and social distancing is non-existent except for delivery drivers who come to the house. Most of them don't have masks on either, but at least they stand back from the door.

It can’t be enforced properly as there is no way to distinguish between people exempt, people who lie about being exempt and people who can’t be arsed. So people will just flaunt it knowing nothing can be done about it.

Getsome Stock up now because there's going to be a second lockdown.

Buy 1000 toilet rolls and a pile of sanitiser while you can.

And some beans.

I've seen lots of people wearing chin straps - ie. Wearing masks under chin unless your trying to hide a double chin that's completely useless. They're not that uncomfortable and if everyone wears them you don't even look silly

I popped into a charity shop at the weekend, a lady entered without a mask when asked by staff to wear she she said ''I cant, I have asthma'' Fair enough, I have asthma but can wear one for short intervals but everyone is different. Mind, that asthma didn't stop her puffing away happily on a ciggie outside afterwards tho 🤔

How do they know she is telling the truth or just cant be arsed to wear one? The system gets exploited and nothing can be done about it.

Getsome They just have to take peoples word I suppose. It cheeses me off tho as I do have asthma but wear one. If shes fit enough to puff away then shes fit enough to cover her face. Dennab Yup. She is indeed.

Glitterandgold Somebody told me recently there's a charity you can register with to then falsely claim to have panic attacks when questioned for not wearing a mask. I just have to turn a blind eye when an otherwise nice person says that to me!!

I have seen so many people wearing a mask over their mouth but not their nose! Plus when people are wearing masks they think that gives them the green light to stand right next to you! It is a mask and social distancing not one or the other!

We were in Morrisons cafe yesterday and the staff were absolutely terrified to be back at work. I'm in Scotland and Aberdeen has been put back on lockdown because of the cases linked to ONE pub. No wonder people are scared to go back to work or go out when there are people completely ignoring the advice!

I have to say in Scotland, people are being pretty good about masks.. especially in the big stores like Asda, you see maybe 2 people in the whole shop without a mask on.. no one is enforcing it here either, but people do seem to be respecting it as a whole 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's crazy I get some people are exempt but surely that puts others at risk? A lot of workers in shops where I am aren't wearing masks. Pointless me wearing one 😂

People are getting fed up of it all now. The virus is going nowhere at anytime soon, so we may as well all get back to some normality, with certain safety precautions in place, but still back to some normality nonetheless.

The virus isn't going away and never will untill the mindless idiots stop putting me and my family at risk by not following the goverments and local councils advise. Yes we are all fed up but tell that to all who see the aftermath of covid19

The piecemeal approach taken by the various different governments in the UK has totally confused everyone, As I live in Wales we are not currently required to wear masks , If I go across the border it's a different matter depending where you are going you may or may not need a mask and it may or may not be enforced .As I've been on holiday in England this week we had to use masks, but honestly I am not sure of the benefit's in them as all I saw was people taking the same mask on/ and off putting it in their bags or pockets and using the same mask each time which if they have the virus is spread to their hands and into their bags/pockets and then onto surrounding surface in shops etc.

My biggest bug bear thou is older people in stores that are simply not social distancing , and they are the ones in the higher risk groups.

I am a older person 70s and myself and my husband have taken every precaution under the sun known to man, since March.

We cancelled a holiday right back then as it was to have been a special week away 50 years married, first holiday in 20 years but we wanted to keep safe not only ourselves and our family but other people's family's as well.also help the NHS. Image

So please don't blame the older end all the time
