Are You a Football Supporter?
Ask a Question
I don't know about you, but I don't like football, but over the last two days that is all that seems to be on. There are four games on today, back to back, my husband will watch all of them, not just the team he supports. Are you a football supporter?
I hate football but will pretend to enjoy when watching my grandson play. Luckily I don't get asked to watch very often!
I just hope you have a tv in another room beccatavender
No. I hate football.
Marry me instead beccatavender !
Oh no, hang on a minute, I'm already married
What's the score?
2nd match of the day, which is West Ham, my husband's team, so not only is the match on but I have to hear him shout at the telly, currently they are 2:2 so it's a happy household
Hate? I guess I'd hate to watch golf. I just dislike watching soccer.
One sport more tedious than the other.
Same here beccatavender. I hate watching football, even the noise drives me insane. Unfortunately my husband loves it and also watches every game
Noise? What noise?
There are no audience now. All you can hear is the commentators, soccer players talking, swearing and their manager giving them orders.
Yes exactly PhilipMarc there is still enough to drive someone who doesn’t like it insane
Same as you, hate football and husband wants to watch all football, even rival teams of his teams don’t get it
I have never understood how grown men can be so engrossed in supporting a team that none of the players come from that town. A few years ago my husbands colleague always pleaded poverty but never missed a match whether home or away.
Pjran agreed i dont get it either. My mum used to hate football but my younger sister played and was scouted for Middlesbrough ladies (i think it was middlesbrough) but she packed it in soon after (too much travelling and she was going to Uni etc) and ended up doing the refereeing for the kids teams closer to home. My mum now watches quite a bit of football but she loves when England ladies play.
PinkElephant26 I would support someone I know especially a family member. I had too many early starts and wet weather ooh and the washing of the kit when my son played.
Never really liked soccer myself unless I'd be playing it in some form. And now, soccer matches have no audiences so it feels like training sessions more than anything.
Still, it's not something that bothers soccer fans.
Football supporter here. Watch my team play and also a season ticket holder but only very occasionally watch any other matches
Can't stand football or sports in general, I have no understanding of the rules nor do I care to know. I have not noticed much football on tv but then I have sky netflix disney+ etc so I assume rarely on the channels it's on
I watch my team play, amd my national team and a few other games in big competitions (Euro, World cup) . My husband is the same, he doesn't watch random premierleague games, so we dont have the football on too often.
I dont like football, i think the players get paid far too much (for next to nowt) and there seems to be a lot of 'hooliganism' with football supporters. Cant stand Golf (I'd rather watch paint dry) luckily my hubby doesnt like football or golf either. We like our motorsport!
Nope hate football I'd rather watch paint dry lol my husband loves it he's watching it now lol
No. I’ve never gotten into it. I’m near a couple of stadiums and it’s usually manic on match days. Obviously that’s something I’ve not missed this year
Football bores me, if it's on I change the chanel. I don't see what's interesting about a bunch of people trying to kick a ball into a net for hours
Football is the sport I dislike the most. For personal reasons - but mainly because it’s incredibly boring and underwhelming.
