Fun Quarantine/In-Home Games Suggestions!
Ask a Question
Whilst quarantine has lifted and life is getting back to normal, those of us that live with vulnerable people still are in full quarantine mode! There is only so much TV to watch, and so much monopoly, uno and basic card games!
I was hoping we could all share some fun and interesting games - even if it's one that just you or your family/friends made up! This would be awesome and we may all have different fun games to go and bond with our family and other loved ones!
If you have an old games console that you haven't played in a while get it back out (I recently found and set up my old Nintendo Wii and have been playing that)
Overcooked 1 or 2 is awesome to play with a family member, friend or even partner. If you don't have a console maybe Cards Against Humanity for a small group of friends or Would You Rather.
Ooooh not heard of overcooked! We have cards against humanity, but not Would you rather! I wonder if there is a CAH type would you rather - I will look it up - thank you!
I started growing crystals during the first lockdown. It was pretty to see the different shapes they formed over night. They do Christmas tree crystal growing kits which will be nice to do if we go into lockdown during the holidays. I also do art etchings. The colour is already on the page and you need to scratch away the first layer with the tool provided in the kits so you won't need to worry about running out of paints during the lockdown
Oh wow how different and lovely! do you know where I can buy some? I love craft and DIY stuff and regularly make crafts myself, but this would definitely be a fun activity to do with some family members and get some bonding time!
sneupane23 I bought the crystal growing kits on Amazon. And you can get the etching sets from the range and the works
Maybe learn a dance routine like the Jerusalema dance! It looks fun, and you can keep fit at the same time.
Hahaha! This would be so funny and different! Definitely will bring the idea to my family! Thank you!!
My friend’s kids take it in turns to hide an object around their house every day and everyone else has to find it. Some days they hide things over and over from each other and seem to have a lot of fun doing it still, even this far into lockdown.
Some people I know have been playing all sorts of board and card games over zoom, which is a nice way to include people who dont have any physical contact with others atm
