I wouldn't say it is my favourite but last Sunday we had an early family Christmas (I am going away at Xmas) and after dinner we stayed round table and played Balderdash. It was good fun. Bit like call my bluff. However, one of my favourites is Charades. Don't need any props but easy to play.
JohuraBegum sorry should have explained. Balderdash is too long to explain but charades is very simple and one person stands up and has to convey to everyone else by miming, the title of a book, film, song or tv programme. There are ways to do so like both hands open and upward is book, tv you draw a square in the air, or film pretend to roll a movie camera. for a song You just open mouth and pretend to sing. You hold up fingers to denote number of words and then start guessing. It is hard to describe in words lol.
Lynibis I know what game your talking about this is my all time favourite. I will play this games with my children for the holidays.
we usually play card games or mahjong, mainly the latter, which has been traditionally payed at get togethers for as long as I can remember

We love to play Pictionary! All my cousins, aunts & uncles all go to my nans so there’s usually a fair few of us and we split it into boys vs girls.
someone will draw a picture of a phrase so for instance.. ”killing two birds with one stone“ and as they are drawing we’re all firing away with guesses as what we think it may be. The guesses are ridiculous sometimes but it’s always really fun :-)
