Getting Side Tracked
Ask a Question
Do you watch programmes then start searching for an actor your watching? Does that then lead you to another actor, for example their partner, which then leads to the programmes the partners in. By the time I have done this I’ve missed the programme I was watching. Does anyone else do the same?
I don't do that kind of thing while I'm watching the show, but sometimes I will after it's finished.
Lol now and again I look up the cast, especially if they look familiar but I can’t remember where I’ve seen them before. I don’t often miss out on anything as I’m usually still watching as I do this
I understand what you mean I get easily distracted. I see an actor in a film then I have to Google their filmography midw......look a puppy..........where was I?
My worst programme to watch and do this is Waterloo Road, I am always shouting at the tv, I know him or her and then I have to search. Many went on to be in soaps, casualty and shameless.
eyeballkerry I'm so glad to find I'm not the only person who shouts at the television, what's even worse is if it's switched on I'll swear at it too
I can't mention what I shouted at a continuity announcer who introduced Coronation Street as EMMERDALE, When I mentioned this to someone on the phone she said she thought she'd misheard it. So anyone else, in the north, who "thought" they misheard it are not "losing it",
Did anyone else notice it about two weeks ago?
I am usually on the computer whilst also watching the television so I am able to look up people but yes, I do still move on to who they were married to etc.
I get side tracked in other ways, at other times though..
that sounds like a lot of the time we watching films starts with I recognise that actors where have I seen him/her before you forgot the when was that film made.
This is so me. I am currently watching Mindhunter because I liked listening to the guy who played King George in Hamilton sing
Yes! I admit that I am guilty of this. Thank goodness for the pause button and IMDB. There's nothing worse than watching something and not being able to pinpoint the actor/actress. All it takes is for someone to comment 'he looks shorter than I thought he was' and the cycle begins. It's human nature to be inquisitive....
I also, especially when age is mentioned, need to look up their date of birth, this happened last night when it was mentioned by Jonathan Woss that Katherine Jenkins and Wussell Howard had recently had their 40th birthdays, hers was on the 29th of June (I've already forgotten his - probably because I don't fancy him)
