Gin and Tonic Flavour - After Eight Mints Will Hit Shelves from September
Other
A limited edition of After Eights will be released on 7th of September and will be lasting up until Christmas (so not really very long sadly). Will you be giving these a go? I certainly will! Not going to last very long in my house.
Poundland do some great after dinner mints. Not quite as good as After Eight, but still very nice nevertheless.
Good evening regularcomper90 yes I will be buying if I can. Get a box to try then if I like them get more for Christmas. Gin and tonic is one of my fav drinks so I should enjoy these. Let's hope we can get them and another thing I hate is that they are only out for a few weeks. Just when you like some thing they stop. Wish they would stop doing it
Hello Nicola.
It is certainly very frustrating when a product that you really like suddenly gets discontinued. 3 of my favourite pizzas were discontinued throughout my lifetime, and more recently my favourite flavour pot noodle.
Gone but not forgotten.
After Eight are a bit old-hat these days. I think there are better chocs out there these days. Personally I favour Lindor or Hotel Chocolat as an indulgence. Xx
You could be right, but as with many things Christmas related it's become a bit of a staple.
Oh, I love Lindor chocolates. Very moreish so a lot of self discipline is needed here. I am quite partial to Thorntons too.
If I were a drinker I would be all over them like a rash. However I do know a gin drinker who has a birthday in September so would be a nice little token gift.
Not sure I even want to try a G&T chocolate much prefer drinking one. I can appreciate companies bringing in new tastes to expand their products. I donβt like chocolate liqueurs.
TheChimp I had to look up B52 DescriptionThe B-52 cocktail is a layered shot composed of a coffee liqueur, an Irish cream, and a Grand Marnier. When prepared properly, the ingredients separate into three distinctly visible layers.
Iβm happy with a glass of Sauvignon blanc or bubbly. It doesnβt have to be champagne.
Great advice and I feel it is now my moral duty to buy some and report back... just for feedback reasons of course. Xx
All these comments are making my mouth water. I feel as if I am gaining pounds just by reading them.
RegularComper90 If only calorie control were that simple.........I'd stop reading.
I am not normally one for resurrecting old threads, but I don't really see much point in starting a new one. I just like to say that I have bought some of those gin and tonic After Eights and tried them for the first time. Honestly, they are no where near as good as I expected and I most likely won't be bothering with these again. You can hardly taste any gin, if none at all. These are more like the standard After Eights, just with a weaker peppermint flavour. Another gimmick in my opinion.
I wasn't aware of this until reading this thread, but I think I will give them ago as well as getting them to go with the Bottle of Gin I have got for my sister for Christmas
Yes please I missed this post when it was originally listed. I hadn't heard about this flavour and haven't seen them in stores yet. If I see them I'll buy them
I saw them in Asda last week and I was tempted, but tbh I prefer drinking my gin, and eating my chocolate separately
I Love Gin but im not sure on this idea, some of the options ive had just taste of a bitter citrus
Worth a try I guess x
