Do You Go for an Eye Test?
Ask a Question
Specsavers recommend getting your eyes checked at least every two years.
Do you get your eyes checked as you should?
I got mine two years ago and I am going to go soon again.
Anyone used free vouchers to get a free eye check?
I can't see without my glasses so I always go to get my eyes checked! I'm thinking about going and buying a cheap pair of glasses as my son loves to play with them and I'm worried they will break!
I used to go every 2 years without fail, but my sight hasn’t changed for a while, so the years have passed so quickly...I ought to get them checked as I am a glasses wearer, so they’re prone to changes
i often go for freebie checkups. Boots have a freebie this month - no purchase necessary

I do but I'm a contact lens user so they only let you continue with the subscription if you go for the checks every year and sight test every 2 years, the cost of the tests is included in my subscription. If you use DSEs at work, your employer has to pay for sight tests if you ask for them, so worth looking into that.
I always make sure two can get for my eye test every two years. I have to wear glasses so it makes sense that I have a check in case I need to get new glasses.
Diabetic eye test every 6 months but they only photograph the eye so I still go for regular checks which are free at my age.
I have had mine checked within the last 12 months but only because my eyes always ache me and I struggle to see whilst driving at night but they only said one of my eyes was +1 so no problems really. And I still don’t own glasses!
I went to one a few months ago and the guy told me that my vision is the same as before so all's fine. If you can do a free check up, then do so.
Yes I’ve always had my eyes tested. Usually there’s an offer somewhere for free eye tests. Always ask, politely of course, for your prescription. Recently I’ve ordered glasses online and saved heck of a lot of money. Be cheeky and try glasses on in high street opticians and make a mental note of which style suits then buy online.
That's definitely an excellent recommendation. I spent £100 on Jeff Banks' glasses at Specsavers like 1-2 years ago but I was okay with it, the glasses are great but probably could have gotten similar for £15 or so online.
£100 isn't even as expensive as the €180 glasses I bought before those, those €180 glasses ended up cracked up as I drank too much and then just dropped to sleep. I've since then avoided drinking too much as I can't handle it but some guys can.
