What Has Happened to Krackawheats?

Krackawheats used to be my favourite cracker but I had not bought any for ages until last week. How disappointing!! 
Intead of the tasty slightly salty yummy crispy cracker there was a square of hard cardboard. Presumably fat and salt have been reduced leaving something even the dog is not keen on. Would anyone else prefer a little of the 'full version' instead of loads of the 'healthy version'?? Bet this has happened to other products too
I know I feel the same I thought maybe there where off some how but it must be how they are now. Really horrible seem soft and tasteless like there really past there best before date.
I thought you meant these at first, I hope they don't change them as I love them, especially with Philadelphia or butter and jam when craving something sweet.
It’s so disappointing when something you love changes recipe especially when there isn’t a readily available similar item you can switch to
I used to really enjoy krackawheat, I bought a pack the other day, they tasted really awful. I won't be buying them again.
stevea808 Ritz crackers have been massacred as well. I think that it's the reduction in salt. For most of us they are eaten occasionally, not a staple diet item. Why can't they let us make up our own mind? They could also have a reduced salt line! Are you listening McVities???
I actually contacted them and they denied changing the recipe! Definitely changed the salt and the colour……no I’m not buying anymore either. May as well just buy regular crackers.
I have never eaten Krackawheats but used to eat a lot of cracker bread. The only problem with cracker bread, once it has been loaded with a filling and left in your lunch box it goes floppy and has no crack anymore.
Spot on, they are awful, everyone seems intent on lowering salt and fat, leave it up to the individual there are plenty of crackers that taste like cardboard
Yes , bring back the old shiney version ... with big crystals of sea salt on one side ! ( The ones I have enjoyed since the 70's ! )
rfarquharson I actually tried one again last weekend. (did not buy!!) maybe a tiny bit of salt added back?? but nothing like the delicious 70s kracker
I feel the same bought them yesterday for the first time in ages because of the price. Cannot believe the difference so thin and tasteless very disappointed what a ripoff 
I've got an update I've managed to find some crackers which taste like Krackawheat use to. There Jacob's high fibre cream crackers. Problem is there more expensive. But taste good a cross between Krackawheat and cream crackers.
Same as everything else, they reduced the salt and now they are tasteless and crap
Same experience! Just bought some after a lapse and they are completely different!!! No little crystals of salt stick to the glossy surface of a delicate cracker which was good enough to eat bare. Now I have a packet of expensive bird food. My dogs wouldn't eat them either!
rowanbovis your description is perfect and you have got me pining for a pack of the old ones 
I think the birds might turn their beaks up at them btw
