Hearing Aids Advice
Ask a Question
So it looks like i may need hearing aids. Im only 37 so im a bit disapointed this is happening at my age, does anyone else wear them. Are they easy to get used to etc?
I don't wear them but my dad and granny both have them. Depending on what is wrong with your hearing you can get one that fit inside your ear so you would never know you had them. My dad has these ones and says they are brilliant but take some getting used to as it does amplify your hearing.
I remember my grandad had them and he was always turning them off so he could save the batteries but he was really just doing it so he could ignore my granny when she was moaning at him!
joannecroston ask if you can have different ones on a trial basis before paying. Several friends have told me the NHS ones are I’ll fitting and uncomfortable so do not wear them.
joannecroston I totally agree with Pjran, my dad and granny went private after having NHS ones and they are much happier now.
My husband has two pairs of hearing aids. Unfortunately he doesn’t wear them, he says they’re ill fitting and refuses to use them!
hope you have better luck
I have 2 different earing aids one is just a thin plastic tube that sits in earand goes around back of ear and other is a normal one as my hearing is quite bad in that one u do get used to putting them in every day but it does take time to get used to the different sounds wear mine all the time now
Im not too bothered about what they look like, im just worried i wont be able to get used to them i get annoyed with earrings after a while
