The 14 strong elephants that have made an epic journey lasting 17 months are almost home. I know China has had a lot of bad press but this is a feel good news item and these elephants have been protected during their journey.
We all need some good news.
Pjran Yes nothing quite so bad as a marauding heffalump with a sweet tooth lol. In London Zoo they wrecked elephant teeth by over feeding them sticky buns.
MelissaLee1963 I didn’t know that. The Chinese were filmed with trucks of food including bananas and no sticky bun in sight.
Pjran Fruit is definitely a better option. Wish I could abide by the same rules myself lol. In Thailand they have a festival of elephants. Here they are eating fruit. 
Pjran I went on an elephant ride in Goa.I felt sorry for the elephant because I am no light weight.He snuck down into a water pool and blasted someone on another nearby elephant. I thought he was going to submerge in the muddy water but I got out unscathed .
MelissaLee1963 you’re braver than me. I chickened out because the place we were taken to wasn’t well organised, not Goa though.
My mouth spoke before my brain engaged and I couldn't back down.I wasn't brave enough to get on a hissing camel in Egypt though.Chickened out then.
