Home Alone - to Be Remade

Other

I’m definitely not looking forward to this remake. I’ve not liked most of the remakes so far, and I can only imagine a lot of tech and cgi being used to vamp up a simple classic

not looking forward to it at all

Disney has not given much details on the reboot but If they could get Macaulay Culkin to play a part in the movie and have a kid play his son it could be a decent movie.

Lol that’s a good idea - definitely something I can imagine Hollywood working with 👍

Maybe ok, first thoughts thou Macaulay Culkin made the Home alone films, was disappointed with Home Alone 3 in which he didn't star.

Only the first two were great, the rest were garbage. There's a 5th Home Alone and.. yikes.

Really, a fifth one? Lol I thought the third one was so, so bad that they’d give up! Let’s hope they don’t destroy it

I only liked the first 2. The third one was awful, so if there were other ones after, I never bothered. I doubt they will be able to recreate the magic that the original Kevin brought to the films

I agree. Macaulay Culkin really made the films, although saying that he was probably typecasted as a result of it also. I’m sure they’ll get him to do a special on the new one

hspexy it would be cool if he was, and it related to the ones he did previously somehow. I'm sure the writers have had more than enough time to get a story together - just hope they can recreate a hit

Given that Hollywood is rebooting, 'reimagining' or remaking most things this doesn't come as a surprise. I'm not a fan of any of the original Home Alone films, but I expect this latest remake will be awful. Expect a remake announcement for The Goonies or Back to the Future soon.

I hope not! But I know there are plans. I loved all those films, and so I’d hate to see them destroyed

Of course it is. Everything is being remade, for some reason. There must be enough original stories out there to not remake stuff...
