Any Home Remedies for Sinus?
Ask a Question
Hi
I am having sinus issue for a while now. Just in this season I had it twice. In December, I spent most of my time in the bed due to cold and temperatures. I went in the A&E many times and have been put in 3 different courses of medicines in last few months.
Please recommend some home remedies and tips. Steam and soups are not helping.
Get a 500ml bottle of water with a sports cap. Unscrew the top and take some out. Fill it with hot water until it's luke warm. Add half a teaspoon of salt and a quarter teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Give it a mix and then squirt the liquid up each nostril several times.
It's not pleasant, but will clear the mucus out and you should get an improvement soon.
Just make sure that you do it over the sink and have some tissues or toilet paper handy.
TheChimp I am using these since 2020 quite often. Is this what you are recommended?
WindowShopper I can't see the pics properly because my eyesight is bad, but the products look like they might be very helpful to me. Could you send me links if possible? The NHS told me to use a mug which isn't really practical. Looks like that you might be giving me more advice that I've given you
Thanks for your pics. MrsChimp has sorted them out and I've just ordered from Amazon.
Thanks for your help and I'm sorry that I've done nothing for you.
Thank you WindowShopper
Got MrsChimp to see the pics for me and have ordered one.
Sorry that I couldn't be of any help.
TheChimp I am happy I have been helpful . All the best, it will be good for you.
You could go for a sauna and take some Eucalyptus oils to add to the steam, that should give you some relief.
pato I tried that a few years back, I get relief but not for a short while. I need a permanent solution.
Have you tried cold and flu tablets? The phenylephrine in them is great for unblocking your nose.
Midnightflower i was put on 3 different sets of medicines alongside paracetamol and throat southerners.
