What Would You Do Instead?

Ask a Question

If you could choose another career other than what you currently do, what would it be in and why? Just being nosey like getting to know you all 🙂

After seeing everything they have done for my son, I would be a neo natal nurse. He has had cardiologists, surgeons and lots of amazing nurses and doctors, who took such amazing care of him, as well as supporting us and helped make the journey a little easier and I think the people who do such jobs are special people.

I have spent a lot of time NICU too and doctors and nurses can make or break what is often a scary experience a bad one can break you and a good one can help you stay strong ad get you through- special people indeed 💕

OneeyedRaven totally agree, his nurses, surgeons and doctors were all amazing and so supportive, they really helped us to stay strong and positive. Worst experience of my life handing my son over to the surgeons! But they were absolutely amazing

Had I discovered my love of history when young I would like to have been a history teacher. However, that would have been pre 2000 when there was more discipline in schools and the kids didn't carry knives and swear at you. I certainly wouldn't be a secondary school teacher now

Honestly teaching now feels like a scary job- that said so if law enforcement and Health care. I have had teacher friends be spat at punched and threaten with sexual violence- by primary school age children. Makes my heart break for the future.

I always wanted to be a jockey ! I worked early mornings and weekends from the age of 14 at a local race horse stable mucking out and occasionally riding the race horses for training. Sadly the money was rubbish and my body shape was not inkeeping with being a jockey !!!!

Something where I get to spend a lot of time with animals, preferably something where I get to cuddle and play with them all day

I have an awesome friend who is a zoo keeper and I worked in a veterinary Hospital which I loved. I have just rescued a little hedgehog who we found in the neighbours garden a few weeks ago Image

OneeyedRaven aw cute! There was a time I considered it as a career choice, and I guess I could still pursue it one day 👍

I'd love to be a full time deals hunter, my job currently prevents me from doing it sometimes, but yeah, that's what I'd like, I love it 😍

I will be a treat healthcare professional working in an Eating Disorder Centre next year hopefully. If I could be something else I would have chosen to be a Doctor or a Vet. Either treating humans or animals.

I think I would like to train as a CBT therapist. It seems there's a lot of people that need helping with their mental health these days and not enough services to go round. If i was in a position to provide that service for free or funded through a charity, I think it could have a big impact on some people's lives.
