Jewellery for Kids
Ask a Question
Do you buy jewellery for your children? If so, when did you start? And how much do you spend?
I don’t see the point if they’re little, as they are likely to lose it, but happy to pass on an heirloom when they’re older
I got my daughter earrings each Xmas she now 13 and would like a Pandora ring but I read a lot of negative reviews on there jewellery
I’m not sure about Pandora myself, as I’ve never actually stepped foot into one of their shops to look at any of their collections. But I guess if your daughter has seen something she likes, there’s no harm in getting it for her. Us girls quickly build on our collection of jewellery from about our teens anyway
I think it just depends on the jewellery. I'd be happy to give inexpensive pieces. I have lots of my late mothers jewellery & as I dont have a daughter I'd like to give some bits to my niece but shes only 9 so I'm keeping for her until shes older.
That’s very sensible, as it’ll be awful if they got lost. I guess she is currently too small to wear the rings, etc.
Unless it's really cheap, I wouldn't bother until they're responsible enough to look after it. And even then, still not too expensive - they're just kids.
Pandora do some nice things and they do charms. When I was a little girl I had a sterling silver charm bracelet that I have kept to this day and it brings back many memories which have always made me happy. Go for something you can add to, say for birthdays and the like, like charms and they will remember you forever.
