What a great film. If anyone hasn’t watched this, do so. I personally enjoyed this. And has made me want to know a little more about her life, more that the film covers. I’m quite particular about films as not many interest me. I’d like to know what you thought
I wasn’t over keen LenoirLenoir. I saw the stage production a couple of years ago and it was fantastic but I thought Renee Zellwegger looked more like Bette Midler than Judy Garland! What a sad life she had though. I love the old Judy Garland films. I think the film won so many awards due to the subject matter and the vulnerability of Judy. Looking forward to the new Aretha Franklin biopic.
I think the realisation of how sad her life had been makes me want to know more about her. Which Is why I think I enjoyed it so much. I like Renee Zellwegger, very much enjoy watching her on screen. But yes, didn’t resemble her much.
I didn't know it was on netflix. that one hasn't popped up when I've been hunting. Thanks for letting us know. I'll see if I can find and add that to my watch list tonight. I've seen a few Judy Garland films; a star is born being one of them. I think she would sing and act. Horrible life being owned by the film companies back then.
I’m so sorry I actually thought it was on Netflix, my other half had it ready n waiting in screen. He actually streamed it from another site. Oops x
