Keeping Yourself Busy during Lockdown
In the News
What's everyone up to during lockdown? My neighbours have created a private group so we can help each other. If someone needs something from the shop, someone will drop it off on the doorstep if they're going. Bit of a busy day today, because we've got a virtual tour of Chester Zoo starting at 10.00 am, followed by a virtual quiz, bingo and virtual pub!
lilyflower Cheers lil not heard of those i though i knew em all!
Panelbase i think i have seen but not the other two.
Whats the survey length like?
I prefer short surveys cant stand those 25 minutes surveys for a few pennies!
Nectar also do surveys but they tend to be quite long and fib something awful about the points and how long they last!
Loislane Well I have £950 in Amazon vouchers does that answer the question!
No wonder i retired at 40 eh haha i am the master of making money from nothing!
Just made £180 in the last two days selling old crap from my brothers wine cellar on Gumtree!
garygemmell how you get all that lol I've tried haha x well you never know I may become millionaire not lol x
Loislane garygemmell I've got £46 this year from Panelbase, some are long some not 70p - £1.40 for 10/15 mins. Branded is US and you have to be quick, you say how many emails you want per hr + bonus if you gain certain number of points in month (points convert to cash). Maximiles not doing much because you have to claim from the list of goods.
lilyflower Yea i do maximiles but once you get to 5000 points its an ARGOS, M&S. SAINSBURYS £25 voucher so worth it and for me lots of tech gadgets like micro sd cards ive never paid for one got them all off Maximiles - I am the master of saving money lol well i am scottish and as tight as a gnats chuff!
lilyflower No - old Opel Manta centre exhaust section and Gym bench and weights from my old bodybuilding days - i had recently joined the local gym as well to restart my bodybuilding i am sorely dischuffed now - your husband working out at home and 60+ years old as well really hit a nerve actually!
Wine cellar is now a storage area since mum and dad died recently - sad but true the house is no longer home without them!
garygemmell Sorry to hear about your mum and dad. Could have got an awful lot more for weights this week.
lilyflower Yeah i was offered £200 and had a guy just round the corner from my place offer me £100 last night he was begging me and phoning constantly i felt a bit sorry for him but the first lady was an NHS worker and its for her 17 year old son who is bored and wants to "not be skinny" - he turned up last night with his dad to pick it up and it pure warmed my heart to see the old gym gear i started out with going to another young man to hopefully start him off on the gym and health and fitness route.
Must admit i did find it hard to see it go but then i saw the £80 in my bank account and soon forgot about it haha
Your old man will probably appreciate that - what can i say i may be a tightbum but i do have a heart!
Stupid as my brother calls it!!!
haha
I'm doing two of three jobs from home. I consider myself to be one of the lucky people. As garygemmell has clearly illustrated though, there is no excuse for just sitting on your rear end and feeling sorry for yourself with Netflix. There are plenty of opportunities to earn money at home so go out there and find them.
Good attitude sir or is is miss - i think for sure its the former!
Denise or Dennis?
Dennis Abernathy?
lilyflower But you are such a beautiful flower in full bloom in your old age.
Urrrgh hold on while i get the sick bucket!
garygemmell you going soppy aww lol x well have great day I'm off to try some surveys you never know what might get x
Dennab I gotta admit I did watch all lol x love bit Supergirl too haha flash legends etc secrets out x
Dennab Never watched it I am more of a TWD and FTWD fan even started watching PICARD and the return of the Borg - must admit i am enjoying it not sure the critics are right on this one old Picard has still got his life in im and he did stick it to that cokend James Corden at the awards ceremony - cant stand that talentless fat waster!
Am i overly judgemental? - yip absolutely and definitely MENTAL!
lilyflower Funny thats what they call their Grandma in Slovakia up here in Scotland we call her Gran and Grandpa!
Mind you a f@nny up here is Scottish Vernacular for a silly person this site even censors it - in America its your bottom and well in England its best not to mention unless i want to get censored!
garygemmell I like SciFi too gonna watch Picard at some point recorded star trek series on e4 and yep I've recorded Batwoman on Sunday lol x
garygemmell I also had a Gran, old Gran, Granny, Old Nana and 3 Grandas! They live long in my family - well some did.

garygemmell hey you I joined the FPL comps on that site so have been entering a few today while in between making my hair very short with clippers and colouring it black lol stay safe vin see u soon x PS think I might found you on twit haha duck pic maybe x
Love doing the adult colouring and my dog is chilled out only going for a walk once a day luckly
Play Tennis at the mark, easy to maintain the 2m distance rule and its my one exercise for the day
The selfish morons who are ignoring the social distancing rules and carrying on as if nothing has happened are really beginning to grate on me. The sooner people stay indoors (unless they really do need to go out), the sooner that new coronavirus cases will drop and this pandemic will come to an end.
How difficult is it to stay at home?
I've heard that the police are cracking down on them now, and issuing fines. Makes my blood boil when you read someone's status on Facebook that they've let their teenage daughter out, and she was with a friend of hers.
CherylParry I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm actually starting to miss all that rain we have been having. I love this mild and sunny weather we've been having, but if rain is going to keep people indoors, then bring it on.
Hi RegularComper90 I couldn't agree more. Hopefully the attitudes and actions of some will change x
We done the virtual pub quiz tonight and it was a good social event and had a bit of a laugh
I started reading which for me is quite a task. Reading Surviving the Evacuation London which is book 1. My boyfriend is watching national geographic through the Disney plus membership he got for free (7 days only) lol
I think it is a great idea that people have group chats so when the vulnerable can't go out they can ask someone to leave at the door step
