Here is a perfectly ordinary houseplant – a philodendron. It's been connected to a robotic arm via special biosensors on its leaves. Now it is able to “control” a machete. The movements of the blade are wholly determined by “biological pulses” from the plant, says the artist David Bowen who instigated the project. In essence the plant is the brain of the robot controlling the machete
