Whenever demand for something is high it will command a high price. Sometimes Lego is on offer but even then not cheap.

AndreaAndzic why do you need a lot of it? Folk just usually buy one set or 2 maybe for a gift.some of them are bug sets,so very expensive- some smaller,so not as dear. Look on Lego website, they sometimes do offers,or join theyre VIP club& earn points for money off. Or search argos &asda & smyths for toy offers like 3for 2 etc.

argos has a toy sale on at moment plus amazon normally have good deals on Lego. Won’t be much off but every penny helps.

Hi,

There’s lots of LEGO deals posted regularly on Latest Deals, here:

https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/tags/lego

20% off is pretty common, and you’re doing very well if you get 25% off or more.

I reckon the very best Lego deals are the Lego Classic Boxes like this one, where you get loads and loads of bricks for your money.

Bargain Max often have toys at cheap prices and offer free delivery on everything that can be handy for sending toy gifts direct to the recipient (if you can get someone at their home to wrap it for you!)

At the moment there's a couple of Spend & Save codes too

Have a look on places like fb marketplace, gumtree etc as you will find people selling them 2nd hand and they will be much cheaper.

AndreaAndzic I always look for toys 2nd hand before I buy them new, so much cheaper and most of the time are still like brand new.

Is it just me...or anyone think Lego also got more complicated and there are so many weird pieces now.

I remember we used to have lego with less possibilities, but we were able to build anything from them.

You should check it on Amazon and compare prices with Argos.

AgnesFaludi no. You are right. They are complicated and they keep making them in different ways and different kind.

I remember them being fun as you had to use your own imagination and build.

Now they are like a puzzles and even tell you step by step how to build them

AndreaAndzic I know they have books how to build and what to build from them...killing imagination.

AgnesFaludi exactly. Than why not get puzzle instead. Lol

She loves the lego. I get it. But at the same time.. What is the point

I have signed up to as many places as i can to get offers

I have a group on Facebook that i will be posting all if it there

We are of course not latestdeals. But we have different offers. Free stuff for kids and a lot of good recipes.

Lego became expensive over a decade ago, and now it’s downright extortionate! If they were charging these prices when I was growing up, they never gotten very far

To be fair I don’t mind spending money on lego as you can put different sets together and just go with the imagination , it’s great for kids, I started with my daughter when she was 2 with duplo lego and now she is getting toy story one 4 + , we love playing together , although wouldn’t pay as much for Playmobil ones, got last year one advent calendar as was very good price and a year before only as was less than half price, also got recently scooby doo one as amazon had price error and it should have been £49.95 but they priced it as £12.99 the cheaper set lol so got the car machine set for £12.99 only and my daughter loves it but would never spend as much as it’s priced for Playmobil one 🙂

I know someone who built an entire Lego city amongst other stuff and they often bang on a about 'Brick Shop'. I don't know if they're still a good place to buy but worth a look. IWOOT have 20% off some sets currently. Smyths toy shop always seem to match Amazon with prices with the added advantage of not needing to wait for delivery, not needing Prime membership and free returns to their shops.
