Likes and Dislikes of Comping

What are everyones likes and dislikes of co.ping and what's everyone's advice as I seem to be entering loads and getting nothing back?
I know it's before my "wine time" but I'm going to show my stupidity (or I'm the only brave one to ask!!!).but what is comping?? or is it the good old predicted text ghost lol?
just curious to know. 
I love comping but in the last few years facebook, instagram & twitter comps have become more prevalent and I don't do any of those so I find I am limited in what I can enter.
Same here. I have been tempted so many times to open another Facebook account (deleted last one) just for comps. But it is insidious and draws you in. I really do not want to get back on that bandwagon in the hopes of winning a comp or two.
As for Twitter and Instagram, I wouldn't have a clue, how many social media channels does a person need!?
Lynibis I have never had a facebook account and don't want to either, it just doesn't appeal to me. Twitter? My phone isn't connected to the internet, so I don't think that would work. And Instagram, I just don't understand it.
As you can see, we don't go in for social media much in our house. Just the laptop and that suits me fine. 
I like to enter competitions as its the thought of "I could win this, how cool it would be to win this 
" I have entered competitions since July but have not yet won anything. But I will 
I like entering and seeing things I could win that I couldn't afford otherwise.I entered loads my first year of comping and didn't win anything just keep going and you will win eventually.My dislike is entering and not receiving prizes I have had to report a company to ASA in the past as I won a voucher for a company and spent it online paying with my own money for extra items and delivery and didn't receive them until ASA got involved but I have comping friends who have also had issues with companies.
So far I won 3 comps.....one of them from LD.....one from Mumsnet and one more...even I enter quiet often it not seems like it worth the time....
Yeah peeps, it hit me at 5 this morning what comping was (duh) 
I only do a few but by the time I've read the terms, conditions and privacy policies ,I'm no longer interested! !! phonecards from all over at stupid o'clock! !!
