Lockdown For How Long?
In the News
how long will this go on for im assuming around 3 month but they claim to review this in 3 weeks time (i dont think much will change) stay safe people take care
The more people who follow the rules and stop:
- Unnecessary travel on the roads eg. nipping out to buy cheap Easter eggs
- Unnecessary online purchases increasing transmission of the virus in warehouses etc
...the faster death rates will go down, and we'll all be allowed out to live our lives.
It's simple and easy for those of us who do not NEED to travel and do not NEED to buy certain items online or elsewhere.
I must admit I felt bad the other day as my son has grown out of his current size in sleeping bags and needed new ones and the only place close to us which sells them is Asda and it is a 20 minute drive away. I had put off buying them as long as I could hoping they would fit until the weather got better as he doesn't need them in the summer but it wasn't possible so I had to order some online as no guarantee our local store would have his size and we didn't need any food shopping so it would have been an unnecessary journey if they didn't have them.
Dennab yes he sleeps in a sleeping bag. He kicks blankets and duvets off and then gets cold, which wakes him up. It is an essential purchase for him so that he stays warm during the night and gets a good sleep, so it is essential for me too! But I did order them in the size up from what he currently needs so that he can get plenty wear from them and I won't need to buy more till next year.
MrsCraig Not that you need my approval but my opinion is that is an essential purchase! Of course it is. I'm talking about people reading phrases like "it's an ideal time to do DIY during lockdown" and then ordering 10 litres of magnolia, a ladder and a set of paint brushes. People having downtime is not more important than the health of workers in the Royal Mail.
TheChimp That's just made me laugh, a lot. In this age of someone in every corner of the web waiting to be offended, I am not at all surprised about that word being censored. Just don't try to write about those popular meat based products that look like thick burgers in gravy. The trouble is a computer doesn't know you were describing something entirely different. Answering your question; no, they are bad for you. Smoke some salmon instead.
TheChimp annoyingly, this site has pretty awful automatic checks for 'bad' words. Many things it picks up aren't in any way offensive.
Dennab I'm pretty sure Spotted **** will be censored... I'm pretty surprised yours wasn't though!
I'm sure I remember someone posting a boob tube top and it put the deal onto moderation because of the word boob
MeestairChrees Brilliant. I wonder what would happen if someone joined Latest Deals from a village which is just West of Haid in Austria and wanted to say where they were from.
Dennab hmm, Pucking? I had to search that on a map and that's the closest I could spot to something that might be censored.
MeestairChrees Yep, censoring kicked in there even though I used a capital letter for correct grammar.
