Ask a Question

I loose a lot of hair everyday. Any working ideas to stop it or slow it down?

Had a bout of hair falling out, bits at a time but felt like a tonne. Gave this a try and worked a treat, great for the scalp and only needed it short term. Consider looking at your diet and stress levels which is usually the cause;

Thank you I will give this a try. The stress levels are high at the moment I was suspecting this may be connected.

oliwka85 not a problem, hope it helps. Give your scalp a massage even when you're not washing it, helps the roots & follicles out.

I'm suffering with an awful lot of hair loss at the moment but it's down to high levels of stress, once this eases hopefully I will stop losing so much hair.

Lose not loose. Sorry this always irks me. Don't understand how people get the two confused. It means two different things

😁 Thanks for correction. English is not my 1st language. That's the most likly reason for error.

oliwka85 It can help if you remember that loose rhymes with goose (not choose)- and lose rhymes with zoos. Hope that helps.

I've noticed that several others get them wrong so don't think you're the only one.

(I also noticed that someone doesn't know the difference between "It means" and "they mean" that irks me somewhat.)😀

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone ☺

I always seem to lose lots of hair, but I’ve got a lot of hair, so it just seems like a lot - it’s part of my hair regeneration process. However, if your hair loss has been sudden, you may have some health issues - usually lack of proteins. Stress often causes it

Clumps of my hair started falling out a couple of years ago and my doctor told me it was because I was stressed out, she told me to try and not worry about it as it would make it worse and after I took her advice it got better. I also started to use a Pantene hair shampoo designed to reduce hair loss and I did see a difference after using it for a month

Tiz The shampoo is called Pantene breakage defence. I used to get it in Asda but they don't do it there anymore. You may be able to find it on Amazon or ebay

Caffeine shampoo should slow it down.. taking supplements that have biotin / keratin / vitamin e should also help with regrowth

G0501 You do use the three products in order, I'm never too sure about the spray product but I'm hoping the trifecta helped.

A friend suffered this for ages. When she finally went to doctor it turned out to be a side effect of the blood pressure medication she was taking. Doc changed it and she no longer has a problem.

This is quite interesting.

My wife has been losing a bit of hair since lockdown. I put it down to stress.

Has anyone tried Plantur 39?

It seems a bit expensive, but if it works, it's not a problem.

We lose up to a hundred hairs a day but something I recently read made me feel better - during lock-down, many with medium to long hair put it 'up' in clips, ponytails etc and this kept the hair less able to shed so when the hair came down they noticed handfuls captured in brushes. It wasn't an extra fall out of hair just the natural amount that hadn't escaped. That said, you need to discover if your hair loss is natural, excessive or breakage because there are lots of products to help strengthen your hair. It's not cheap but I absolutely love Philip Kingsley products, their elasticizer in particular.
