Magazine Comps Taken Down?
Other
I have just tried to do my daily comp entries on the magazine comps like woman and home, country living etc and they are all coming up with error messages. It would seem they have suspended them but why not just put a message on the site?
I am talking about competitions which you can enter daily but I cannot understand why they would be suspended, especially those that don't involve travel prizes.
I've just tried to do this Win a Luxurious Pamper Experience with Sebamed UK
Promoted by Womanandhome posted 2 hours ago. It lets me log in then says ERROR 500
All Woman and Home comps now have same message.
Yes, same here. I think you will find they all say it. House beautiful, prima etc. I think gift tokens and hampers, household goods could still be given even if it is after the crisis. And they must know there is an error msg so why not explain?
Lynibis Everything in the Hearst Magazines Group appears to be Error 500, but like you say, why not say what the problem is or that they've suspended all comps.
Just tried these comps and getting the Error 500 message. I hope the enteries we've all put in are not void as we've all spent a lot of time entering these comps. Suspend them for now if they want, but do the prize draw later.
Hi everyone, the comps seem to be working again today, have just done good housekeeping and Marie Claire and was able to enter as normal.
Hi chelseaturpin please see my comment above yours as it appears they have now sorted the problem and I have today entered two on the competition page.
Lynibis sorry didnt see that lol just saw the chat title and commented without reading xx
It's an old thread, but I don't really see much point in starting a new one. But is anybody else currently having problems with loading pages from those magazine comp websites? They load eventually, just very slowly.
Yes RegularComper90!! It’s driving me mad. It takes SO long that I’m not managing to get them all done. I thought it was just my WiFi.
They seem to be working now, after a fashion. But still having a problem after entering half a dozen or so they refuse to load. I exit and do another, same thing happens so I go back to previous one and do another few before that again stops loading. Bit of a hassle but at least get some done. It is a pain though and you would think their IT dept would sort it.
Yes, I'm finding them to be very slow, it is taking ages for them to load. I assumed it was just my Wi-Fi, but must be on their end if others are having the same issue.
RegularComper90 every few days I seem to have a small problem but it is usually rectified quite quickly. I usually manage to get my daily quota done lol. Won a Woman's Weekly prize today so well pleased.
Im glad its not just me then! There are a few sites which either take ages to load - or just give up entirely.
People are posting this from 5 ours and 10 hours ago but the original thread was actually for oer a year ago. Does that mean the problem still exists or are people doing things wrong? Maybe the admin should look into this as it shouldn't be happening for a year.
If you look at previous comments and work your way to the one that reopened this topic you will see that the problem has reoccurred.
Although they are back up now they are still loading too slowly or freezing after doing a few.
It is for the various IT depts on the websites to sort out their problems.
Goodtoknow is down at the moment. All the other magazine competition sites are working though.
Good to know is there and working - I just think they have changed their log in page url. Try https://competitions.goodto.com/index - it worked for me!
