Do You Make/buy/like Pumpkin Pies?
Ask a Question
Every year in Autumn pumpkin pie is in season.
Unfortunelty here in London pumpkin pie is not sold. Only thing related to it are the ingredients.
I have been wanting to try it as I have never tried it before.
I will soon make an attempt to bake one and hope it turns out the best but what is best? I don't even know as I have never tries it before.
I have never made it although my friend makes the, every year and honestly it is so worth the effort. They are so delicious when they're homemade. You should definitely try!
Unfortunately pumpkin pie isn’t to my taste. A friend makes it and I have to force myself to eat it because I know she’ll take offence if I decline. To be honest I hate it! So only accept a very small piece.
My mum used to make it every year at least once for us growing up but I’ve not had it for years now... it’s not something I see very often in shops... maybe I’m just not looking
I like pumpkin pie and have made it.
If you like egg custrd tarts, you'll like pumpkin pie as it has a very similar taste
Super easy to make and delicious!
I buy a couple of unbaked flan cases then boil up the pumpkin pulp until soft, mix in 8oz granulated sugar, pinch of salt and 3 teaspoons of mixed spice. Beat an egg and add that in too.
Mix it all together, put it in the flan cases and bake for about half an hour at 225 degrees / gas mark 7.
I like pumpkin pie, but it's something I'd buy rather than make. There are places that sell them in London, particularly in restaurants and shops that celebrate Thanksgiving.
