Do you think this will end up doing more damage to the company?

I think over time the company will come off worse!

From reading the article it looks like both parties are as bad as each other.

And If I were in that area, I'd not touch the solicitors, their action seems petty and could have been avoided.

*edit - just been reading some of the reviews they have received on trust pilot, they are getting slaughtered on there.

It will be interesting to see what this does to the workload for the solicitors

That is disgusting that the company acted like that over one bad review. I hope they do come off worse, it’s no less than they deserve!

Even Trust Pilot themselves are having a pop at them -

"We strongly oppose the use of legal action to silence consumer’s freedom of speech. As a public, open, review platform we believe strongly in consumers having the ability to leave feedback - good or bad - about a business at any time, without interference"

I don't trust trust pilot. People don't usually bother when they've had a good experience and will only write a review when they've encountered a problem. People are always quick to criticise, and even if it's just a tiny thing they've got to moan about, by the time they've finished writing they've escalated the story so much it's unbelievable.

If you aren't able to post an honest review when someone doesn't live up to expectations what is the point of having a review system at all. When the company signs up they should know that there will be good and bad reviews....
