Man v Horse Race Won by Person for Only Third Time

I hadn't ever heard of this race! I'm don't know why as I have heard of other runs the Great North run.
But it can't be that obscure, as a 1,000 runners & 50 horses took part. From reading the article, the competition began in 1980, it's a 22.5 mile race in Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys.
Had you heard of this race? or do you know of other equally bizarre competitions?

I have never heard of this race either. It is certainly obscure. I have heard of a race where married couples compete but it is a piggyback race. Not sure where it happens or if it still does but I can imagine lots of falling happening.
