Ok so I really wasn't concerned, but now I feel like I need to be.
People are bulk buying which is forcing others to when they didn't want to.
There's more local cases keep coming up.
Now im concerned if the cou try does go in lock down about money, food etc...
Someone put my mind at ease lol
I wasn't concerned about it either. But after being to the shops I'm a bit worried. I have made sure I have enough nappies and wipes for my son (haven't bought anymore than normal as I buy when they are on offer to save money so was already stocked up)
We are normally well stocked anyway, just so we always have stuff in for our son, but I will admit I bought one more of everything and the freezer and cupboards are full.
I didn't clear the shelves and left enough for others but it is starting to get worrying.
My husband works in a school. I don't think it will be long till schools are closed.
I have done almost the same MrsCraig I have what I like to call a larder, it is actually a big shelved cupboard under the stairs with the door in the kitchen/diner. I am always well stocked up as I am older and feel that if I ever get ill (apart from the present crisis) I will not have to go out feeling rough and spreading germs to others. Also it means I have lots of choice on a daily basis. I keep stores of spices and herbs and always have coffeemate in case I run out of milk. Basically I have a lot of food in the house which will last me a long time but I have not gone out stockpiling, I have always bought things on special offer if I use them, even if I already have some.
I also have an opened pack of 9 toilet rolls and an unopened one, bought quite some time ago!
Lynibis sounds just like me. I always have UHT milk, spices, herbs, pasta, rice, soup, tinned veg and frozen food in the house. We live on the top of a hill and have been snowed in a few times, so I've always got stuff in. We have loads of toilet roll too, again bought a while ago when it was on offer.
My friend had gone to Lidl to get nappies for her son and there was none left! I text her when I was in Tesco to tell her they still had plenty sk she could get some. Shops are now running out of formula and are limiting the amount of nappies you can buy. I worry about people who can only afford to buy what they need each week and the elderly! There is a weeks wait for online deliveries at our local store! If you are disabled/elderly and rely on home delivery then it must be a worry!
its crazy, i always shop on a monday but i have a delivery this morning so will be this evening i go with my husband. ive just told him we might have to just buy alittle bit more then usual.. not crazy but i have 5 kids so this worries me
need some uht milk desperately MrsCraig it is becoming a. Massive concern. I went to 5 shops last night just for a weekly shop 
Just see what happened in Italy. Stores are still not closed.
I went to the shop yesterday and they had no pasta and no rice...I was shocked.
Also Amazon put up the prices on basic things. I think it can make elderly people life a nightmare, who can not afford to bulk buy.
Also the issues are not just because of the virus.....stocks are down because of Brexit. It is perfect to make it spread longer, so it covers all the issues with economy..all politics...
yes i think weve had 2 big things hit at once and thats why the country is suffering. its a shame really
Even if the country is on lockdown some food shops and pharmacies will still be open. It is the case in Italy, Spain and France. This crazy mass stockpiling behavour is so selfish and is scaring people. I understand getting a bit more than usual but filling several trolleys at the time and clearing supermarkets is totally uncivil.
3 weeks ago I did my regular Tesco delivery top up: that's loo and kitchen roll, laundry products, tins, cans and dry food, that I order every 3 or 4 months to top up my cupboard.
I'm glad I had to do it then as my usual food isn't available anymore, i checked the website today to see how bad it was.
There seems to be a limit on how much one can buy for certain items at least. I'm not sure there's a limit in the physical shops? There should be although it would be a nightmare for the till personnel.
oh i didnt realise that! now i dont understand why people are worrying.
yes i do agree its very selfish i dont agree with it at all, i said to my husband we may have to buy a little extra (we have 5 kids) incase this carries on
dholly39 people worry because of the panic news they see on the internet. Food shops will not close because people need to eat. Same with pharmacies. People need their regular medecine. No one needs 50 packets of paracetamol (I went to buy shampoo in savers a couple weeks ago and there was a woman who literally had 50 packets of paracetamol in her basket... Crazy).
She wouldn't of got far with 50 packets of paracetamol as you only allowed 2 packs at a time so ppl can't overdose, she would of been well disappointed at checkout lol
There is a limit in the physical shops too. You aren't more than 2 of certain items and 5 of other items.
gaelle0501 it is crazy I just went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. While I was there I grabbed my painkillers and some kids stuff as my daughter is teething. And I got evils all round. I then felt awkward and (funnily enough I can't help it) I coughed as I panic swollow to fast lol. And this old woman told me I was a disgrace. I did it inside the elbow tbf lol
It's really annoying that people stated bulk buying when they didn't need. Forcing others to have to do the same and being unable to get essentials.
i actually know a few people and ive told them i think its disgraceful. poor sick and elderly people will suffer for the disregard to their behaviour
dholly39 Street having visited several shops in one day and my finding any toilet roll, after already not finding any in previous days, I eventually found some at the weekend and bought two big packs with the intention of sharing one with other family members (not in my house). I got a look from another shopper, not realising I was buying for others too. But it was still not nice having to buy more than one. If only selfish people hadn't needlessly put us in this situation...
MeestairChrees I actually done this yesterday with crisps. I grabbed my mum some for her house and the looks I got were awful
dholly39 I wanted to say "I'm not the problem - it's the others that are the problem that caused me to buy these" 
It depends where you live. It will be hard for people who live far away from the shops and supplies, but most of the main retailers are restocking on a daily basis, and I doubt they will run out just yet
where i live we have local shops everywhere. in main towns and we have a food retail estate. thats not including the little shops every few miles
I wasn't concerned and thought all the shops like Asda and Tesco would have enough for everyone but I went to Tesco today and all the shelves were empty
The u.k won't run outta toilet paper as we make it here and send to other countries so we will always have a good suppliers
I think it's brilliant people are over stocking. Once this is all over, the supermarkets will have some great offers on due to most people not needing anything n my shopping will get cheaper for a while
