Menstrual cup misuse 'can cause pelvic organ prolapse' - basically the weakening of the pelvic muscles and tissue damage
I know the likes of the moon cup have been hailed as the new thing to deal with environmental sanitary concerns, but has enough research gone into the use of such items? Or I guess we are always going to be guinea pigs for such things?
I for one would never use one of these I have told my daughters too that they dangerous plus the use of tampons. Don't think they would clean it out properly either so there are dangers there
That was always my primary concern - some of the makers say you can use it up to 1000 times! really?! Would you want to use something that intimate that many times? I care about the environment, but as with the current situation, my primary concern is my own wellbeing
I always thought they looked too small to last more than 30 mins at a time. Sort of like putting tupperware up your foo-foo I don't know us ladies of a certain age... Now this is a moon cup!
I wouldnt use one either, seen too messy for me plus how are you supposed to clean them sitting on the toilet
Am so glad have the injection every 12 weeks no more for me but my daughter hates being a girl she thinks discusting and spends the 5 days in and out of shower
I looked into them at one point but decided they weren't for me. Seemed very faffy & not very hygienic. Imagine being out & having to go to a public sink to rinse your period cup out .
I get on fine with mine, once used to the technique of using them it's quite hassle free. You can sterilize them, they come in different sizes so you have to be mindful of that. Each to their own though x
It says missuse...so if u use it right than no problem
I do not even got it how it works....than i saw most of them are made in China and looks so cheap and the other ones....proper branded ones are so crazy expensive.
Than they have different sizes. How u know which one u need? probably a doc should prescribe it, that is what I think.
I was thinking to use it, but one cost like 20 pounds and if u not get the right size than what? U can not return it.
Yes, I can imagine a lot of misuse is down to not knowing how to use one, and not getting the right size. I saw tutorials for them online and they sound awkward, although I’m sure they’re one of those things that when you start using, it becomes second nature
