Mint Chocolate is Only Best during Christmas!

I have heard this a lot but I don't understand why some people make this statement because I know a couple of individuals whose favourite chocolate is mint all year round, come snow or rain. I like mint chocolate when I have a cold or flu. My favourite brand is 'after eight'.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
I don't hate it but it's edible. White chocolate, milk chocolate and chocolate with nuts are what I'd go for.
I love having after eight mints with coffee after a special dinner, Christmas or anytime of the year. Trouble is I can never stop at two or three 
For many people it's a Christmas tradition. I like it, so I'm happy to eat it all year round 
I agree. I see Elizabeth Shaw minty chocolate all year round but would never dream of eating them other than at Christmas , it's traditional after Christmas lunch at our table
Hadn't really thought about it, but now you mention it, I rarely seem to eat Mint chocolate other than Christmas . Not a conscious decision, I suppose it just that's the time of year when they push the After Eights , Mint matchmakers, Bendicks chocolates etc. more
I used to eat mint aero any time of year (before cutting out sugar) but after eights always seem like a treat, although not just at Christmas.
