Do You like Monty Python?

Ask a Question

My husband really likes Month Python and can even quote them, I never found them that funny so assumed it was a generation thing, as my husband is nine years older than me, but my son also fined them funny. What do you think?

Hi my husband is 62, I'm 52 and my son is 27 I did think it might have been a gender thing, but the post below shows it's not. 🙂

I like the Monty Python films. But, I've only caught a few of the TV episodes. Although, the news and other shows do like to repeat the Dead Parrot sketch when talking about them 🐦

Yeah, they had black humor which these days is "too offensive" for the sensitive audiences nowadays.

"Rasist" lol

Absolutely brilliant, wish they'd bring it back, together with a lot of classic comedies.

hit and miss. Some of the sketches such as lumberjack, spam, dead parrot, fish slapping, I find hilarious; other sketches I just find boring.

Agree the sketch shows are hit and miss but the two films Life of Brian and Holy Grail are absolutely amazing and two of the best comedies ever. I didn't like the Meaning of Life though.

A lot of places in Wales banned Life of Brian when it came out.

I'm not quite sure, but I think that Aberystwyth still had it banned 30 years later.
